There has always been a desire to maintain credibility and integrity on Free Republic. That is eroding with each new, Obama, birth certificate story. Many of those creating this ruckus claim are flying a false flag of Constitutionality when it is actually an effort to paint all Conservatives with the broad brush of conspiratorialism of the most dangerous kind. Thank you.
There is much to be admired here at Free Republic. The birth certificate issue is one of those things. You don’t appear to be one of them.
You’re denigrating a lot of FReepers that have done yeoman’s work in uncovering problems with Oblahblah’s eligibility for POTUS. There is a treasure trove of knowledge on Constitutional law, the Constitution itself, and trivia associated with the office of POTUS and American history in these COLB threads.
Why don’t you do what I do if I don’t like a thread? Ignore it and find one you like.

It says “citizen” - not natural born citizen.
1940 The Nationality Act of 1940, Section 201, 54 Stat. 1137.
“Section 201. The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:
“(g) A person born outside the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, has had ten years’ residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions, at least five of which were after attaining the age of sixteen years, the other being an alien: Provided, That in order to retain such citizenship, the child must reside in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling five years between the ages of thirteen and twenty-one years: Provided further, That, if the child has not taken up a residence in the United States or its outlying possessions by the time he reaches the age of sixteen years, or if he resides abroad for such a time that it becomes impossible for him to complete the five years’ residence in the United States or its outlying possessions before reaching the age of twenty-one years, his American citizenship shall thereupon cease.
There seems to be a bit of confusion about my position. I most certainly do believe legitimate documentation must be provided. I do not believe continued posting of the same information will resolve anything.
I also noticed a certifigate keyword and obamatruthfile among others listings which provide an area for news, updates and commentary.

Hey, I’m as tired as you are about all this. I’d love to see an official note to Obama, instructing him to bring appropriate ID to the inauguration (or else...). But I will admit that either something is being hidden, or someone is thumbing their nose at us. Either way, I just don’t care for it. So let people have their say. It will run it’s course.

It is irrelevant what hospital McCain was born in. He was born to American citizens in service to the nation and is, consequentally, a citizen.

Has it occurred to you yet that agitprops like this one may be trolling for quotes to use in ridiculing the campaign to have Obama prove his eligibility? ... Look at the posts from this dweeb like a script ...
The same comments are offered up and shot down with great regularity. Then on to the next thread where the process is repeated.
But not everyone reads every thread so having the repetition gives more people a chance to see the faulty logic and outright lies used by those trying to shut this inquiry down.
In general, a natural-born citizen of a country is someone who is legally recognized as that country's citizen as of the moment of birth, rather than by acquiring citizenship afterwords through naturalization.
According to the above law dictionary definition and the laws at the time
(The Nationality Act of 1940, Section 201, 54 Stat. 1137.)
If Mr. Obama was born in Kenya or adopted in Indonesia
and never naturalized he is not even a U.S. citizen.
If he was born in Kenya I doubt he is a citizen at all and ineligible for a Senate seat even.
As your grandmother didn't claim to have been present at your birth in Kenya, and you aren't running for president, it's a moot comparison.
