That’s funny you said that. I watched some of MTP and when 0bama said he wasn’t pulling out the troops and that he wouldn’t roll back the tax cuts, I thought the same thing. That he sounded like a Repubbie. THen I went to an Homeowners meeting at 10am, and the President of the Association was saying to everyone he was sorry that we had to miss some of Obama .....to which I replied that I heard some of it and was very happy to hear he would not roll back the tax cuts or pull the troops out of Iraq and lose the war. He didn’t say a word after that.
The first term for guys like Obama is all about re-election. His lefty appointments will be under the radar. Most of his high profile appointments will be so called “moderates”. Ayers and that ilk will be given power in a way Obama will not be held accountable.
Nothing new here. Was he really able to deliver on all the Utopian BS he spewed during the campaign? NOT. However, he had to say those things to make himself sound different from his opponent. I wonder why McCain did not PRESS him for details on how he would perform all the miraculous things he promised. That would have exposed him for the flim flam guy he is ...ON THE SPOT!
Act like a Pubbie and we’ll keep ya!
I just don’t believe him. I thought he’s out there proposing New Deal II?
Personally, I find that I am heavily leaning to THIS interpretation of Obama:
“This is tricky! Obama is just appointing bumper-sticker centrists, but the real governance is done beneath the radar-screen, so watch him usher in a host of stealthy leftists to wage the revolution;”

He's trying to make you think that he's not so bad, but I wouldn't believe anything he says. More proof that he's The AntiChrist.
Barry Soetoro is trying to disarm the pubbies. Maybe he is feeling the heat of the BC issue?
It is unusual. I’m not sure what to make of this.
“I fear the Greeks, even when they bring gifts.”
I bet the democrats are wondering also.
I watched part of MTP yesterday, as much as I could handle of Obama’s voice, and I came away from it thinking that he sounded pretty much the same as he did in the campaign—long winded and making it up as he goes.
Oh, but the good news is - he promises to not smoke in the White House! Hallelujah! I’m sure millions of Americans are now going to give up smoking.
* “The days of just pork coming out of Congress as a strategy - Those days are over!” - WOW!!! - Hey, Bar - I have some of my buddies on the left side of my street here that just heaved their Sunday eggs into their laps!! And I could imagine....
And if he does make good on this promise, he will make the republican very unelectable in the future. As we all know all too well the republicans did NOTHING conservative as far as spending went for the past 4 years of so.
I buy it in this sense: Obama, more than any other recent President, is a figurehead. He will do what his cabinet officers 'advise' him to do. Furthermore, Dem opposition to GWB was always based on personal emnity coupled with the fear that Bush's "Compassionate Conservatism" might just permanently steal some of the Dem base.
I think when all is said & done that Obama's track-record is going to look a lot like Bush's.
Anybody catch that Dumb A$$ Broke Jaw ask if Berry was going to tax gas to get it back to $4.00 per gallon?
It’s a front. People promoting socialism know the code words to manipulate the sheeple.
Reading this I was just thinking, wouldn’t that be interesting if a conservative did run as a far left liberal, got in, then started acting like a conservative. Talk about a switcheroo.
Didn’t you hear Pelosi say they were going to rule in the middle?
Yeah, well, I’m still going to buy ammo today and to look at some guns and write down prices, etc.
I don’t trust anyone in Washington, DC, or even my own Governor Sonny Perdue.
Sarah Palin is about the only person I would trust and she’s handy with a rifle and a fishing pole. Those are the criteria I like in an elected official.
Sarah Palin in 2012.
