Obama on Meet the De-Press-ed - Wow, he sounds like a Republican!!!!

To my Conservative Friends:

As I have told ya in the past - That Barack Obama - He's one smooth talker!!!!

If any of you just came back from a 2-year trip to Mars and had no idea who Barry Hussein Obama was, and watched our new President on Meet the Depressed yesterday, you would swear to Ronald Reagan that you were listening to a new, Republican President. Not a rock-ribbed lefty from the south side of Chi-town!!!

The obvious question that begs for an answer is - Do you buy it??? Now, I don't want to spoil your Monday morning with any pessimism, but I would have to say I am less than convinced that this dyed-in-the-wool lib has changed his stripes so quickly....

First let's review some of the less-than-liberal comments our new Prez made Sunday to the wily veteran, quasi-socialist anchor, Tom Broken-jaw yesterday:

* "The days of just pork coming out of Congress as a strategy - Those days are over!" - WOW!!! - Hey, Bar - I have some of my buddies on the left side of my street here that just heaved their Sunday eggs into their laps!! And I could imagine....

These cleverly crafted statements of what people want to hear are not what it’s going to take to lead as C-in-C and win the war we’re in.

I don’t watch MTP ,but I do not trust the man. He didn't get where he is at being honest. A Marxist like him has just as much trouble supporting conservative ideas as I do supporting liberal ideas.

Well clearly I don’t trust him either. I’m thinking that one of two things is happening, one of them much more likely:

1. Obama read the Presidential Daily Briefings and decided that Bush was right
2. More likely: it’s to try to get us to let our guard down for 2010. Just look around at the attitude here and on other conservative blogs. People are saying now, “well, maybe this guy isn’t that bad after all.” Or, they’re pointing out extreme left blogs that are complaining that Obama maybe isn’t as liberal as they would have wanted (they wouldn’t be satisfied with anyone right of Stalin) as some kind of conservative validation or atonement. No, no, no.

Why did McCain lose, or more to the point, why did a guy blabbering about hope and change win? We’ve talked a lot about how McCain didn’t attract enough conservative support, and I would agree, but I think it goes beyond this. What happened was that from day one in 2001, Bush was being hit by an organized and methodical smear campaign, and then in 2008 they linked Bush and McCain. Obama knows this, and he wants to avoid something like this happening to him.

But we have a big advantage: facts. Keep getting the word out about Wright & Friends. 2010 will come faster than you think.

It’s a front. People promoting socialism know the code words to manipulate the sheeple.

If you’re right, then it depends who his advisers are and who really has the power.

Remember, his base wasn’t Robert Gates, or even what is left of the moderate wing of the Democrat party. His base was the Daily Kos and Huffington Post crowd.

Don’t let your guard down.

I wonder why McCain did not PRESS him for details on how he would perform all the miraculous things he promised.

McCain was too busy reprimanding anyone who said anything negative about him or his associates/friends/cohorts/mentors to run against 0bama.

Reading this I was just thinking, wouldn’t that be interesting if a conservative did run as a far left liberal, got in, then started acting like a conservative. Talk about a switcheroo.

You don’t really need to run as anything, just blabber on about Hope and Change and make big two-colored billboard signs of yourself

You are absolutely correct.....and my husband and I are very concerned as to what will become of our defense capability after Obama takes office.....in spite of the PR statements and some appointments.

he promises to not smoke in the White House!

What? No cigars? I'm guessing he wants to have a perfect legacy when he leaves, not like Bill Clinton's. Maybe that's why mom-in-law is coming to the White House with him and Michelle.

Sounding like a Republican is not something that conservatives should be applauding. Modern Republicans make me sick.

agree...

The days of just pork coming out of Congress as a strategy - Those days are over!"

this sure will be parsed, when pork continues.(it will be referred to as a "Local Rescue Plan" or some such nonsense.)

Yeah, well, I’m still going to buy ammo today and to look at some guns and write down prices, etc.

I don’t trust anyone in Washington, DC, or even my own Governor Sonny Perdue.

Sarah Palin is about the only person I would trust and she’s handy with a rifle and a fishing pole. Those are the criteria I like in an elected official.

Sarah Palin in 2012.

lloter:

Could not agree with you more.... These RINO’s are as weak as independents and moderates....

I have always said I always have had a disdain for moderates - Oh - There are so smart and open-minded....

Bull - Most of them say that because they are not bright enough to understand and engage inn the issues...

Once you do that - you are either a conservative or a liberal.... Its like being pregnant - you can’t be a little of both....

Just my thoughts...
