Obama Derangement Syndrome ... Conservatives Need to Shut Up About the Birth Certificate

The continuing efforts of a fringe group of conservatives to deny Obama his victory and to lay the basis for the claim that he is not a legitimate president is embarrassing and destructive. The fact that these efforts are being led by Alan Keyes, an unhinged demagogue on the political fringe who lost a senate election to the then unknown Obama by 42 points should be a warning in itself.
This tempest over whether Obama, the child of an American citizen, was born on American soil is tantamount to the Democrats' seditious claim that Bush "stole" the election in Florida and hence was not the legitimate president. This delusion helped to create the Democrats' Bush derangement syndrome and encouraged Democratic leaders to lie about the origins of the Iraq War, and regard it as illegitimate as Bush himself. It became "Bush's War" rather than an American War with destructive consequences for our troops and our cause.
The Birth Certificate zealots are essentially arguing that 64 million voters should be disenfranchised because of a contested technicality as to whether Obama was born on U.S. soil. (McCain narrowly escaped the problem by being born in the Panama Canal zone, which is no longer American.)

I mean you sit there watching it, and you just cannot believe its actually happening. I guess we now know... it can happen here.
You would literally be astounded at the numbers of people in America that have no clue. Here is an example of just 10, BUT representative I believe of your average voter that will have put zer0bama in the WH

If Sean Mad Dog Hannity isnt touching this, things are worse than we imagine.
I TRY to listen to him regularly (but usually cannot stick through the whole 3 hours because he is such a self promoter), but the way I hear Sean is he is scared to death of being booted off the air under the new thugacracy.

The guy is a FREAK
This guy is more than a FREAK - he is extremely dangerous, armed, and should be approached with extreme caution. He is gonna bring CHANGE and it is not what most of us want, but I guess 53% will be satisfied.

Amen to that. I listened to him three days in a row after the election. He was kissing obama's ass right and left. Saying how he wanted him to succeed. How he would work with him. Ect.,ect. I went back to listening to country music and religious programs.

For example: Let's say the will of the people resulted in the election of someone who was only 32 years old. According to the constitution, he is ineligible for the office of the presidency.
And apparently that would be ok with everyone if zer0bama was 32 - he is still elected. Get my point without me saying it? If McCain was only 32 yrs old, they would throw everything they had at him - 'not Constitutionally qualified'.
We are living in Alice's Wonderland - It's here. I have been searching for a copy of the movie '1984' only to discover it is no longer being reproduced so only copies that are available are on e-bay and are over hundreds of dollars each.

Birth Certificate zealots are essentially arguing that 64 million voters should be disenfranchised because of a contested technicality Don't "disenfranchise" them. Give them the facts the press refused to give or research or demand, then let's have a big new vote. Do it in 3 months.

Something is fishy. I am afraid they have been threatened like that Florida reporter who accused Obama of Marxism, or they actually believe there is nothing to the Certificate issue. Or, they are trying to be fair to the new liar-n-chief.

How do you explain the birth announcement in the Hawaii paper? Standard data dump from the Hawaii department of public records to the local papers. Take a good look at the announcements. They're all completely generic.

You can always count on David Horowitz. You really ought to explain that comment. Count on him for what?

Horowitz is absolutely correct despite the grumbling of a few self-annointed patriots here who assert a (fallacious) claim of defending our Constitution, a document many of them obviously have never read judging by their knowledge of it. You've been here a long time now, but your posting seniority means nothing when you make asinine and untruthful statements like that.
I've rarely seen more ad hominem attacks and outright slanders against real patriots, than in your post.

This is the first I have heard about a birth announcement in a Hawaii paper. Several posters have put the birth announcement argument for Obama's Hawaiian birth to rest. It turns out that the state records office routinely does a bulk data dump of vital events such as births, deaths, and marriages to the local papers.
If you get a chance to look at the paper this announcement came from, you'll see that Obama's announcement looks identical to all of the other birth announcements, except for the names.

If anyone has evidence that hes not an American citizen, bring it. Otherwise, theres no reason to waste your time with the issue. It's the President elect's responsibility to qualify for the job, not the American people's job to qualify him.
Obama is the one who needs to "bring it".

The entire Florida recount debacle was about “a technicality.” It was considered extremely important by the leftists.
The big difference with the BC issue is that the BC issue is real. The Florida recount was a “manufactured” crisis. It was “manufactured” by the left in order to disrupt the process, cast doubt on Bush’s legitimacy to govern, and hopefully to “steal” the election. The uproar about Bush “stealing” the election was mere projection.
The BC issue is a legitimate concern. It is something that has an existence apart from wishful thinking. It is something that can easily and unequivocally be settled. There is no “opinion” or “hanging chad” or intuition involved.
The second difference is that if the real BC had been produced in a timely manner, the majority of the “zealots” would actually have been relieved. (That is not to say that they would have liked Obama any better, just that his eligibility and legitimacy to run would have been established. There would not be the awful feeling that a foreigner was running for President.)
The third difference is that if the real BC had been produced in a timely manner, there would be no “zealots” making a fuss about this. The “zealots” would be satisfied and leave the fussing to the “kooks.”

Good points.
However as we move into this new age of Obamunism and the hard left politburo that will be ‘ruling’ from Day One, until Comrade 0bama decrees that all resistance must be crushed, it is not only our obligation as Americans, but our duty to oppose the Marxist/Communist regime that has seized control of all three branches of government.
We need to be in their faces 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, hammering 0bama and his sycophants the same way the left has operated over the past eight years, and here’s the bottom line: our enemies have now taken control of our government. The old adage about ‘the enemy within’ has now evolved into ‘the enemy occupiers’.
