The strain of the long campaign and a frenetic transition period is beginning to wear on the face of President-elect Barack Obama, who has developed a facial tic under his right eye.

The tic on the lower part of his right orbital bone is clearly visible in his recent interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. Campaign insiders say it first emerged during the primary season and has now become chronic.

A facial tic is a repetitive, spasmodic movement often involving the eyes and facial muscles. The cause of tics is unknown, but stress appears to increase their severity.

"The patients I've treated with tic disorders had one thing in common: They knew that the tics worsened when they were under stress," said Dr. Robert T. London, a psychiatrist with the New York University Medical Center.

Learn about what America can expect from an Obama presidency in Brad O'Leary's blockbuster, "The Audacity of Deceit: Barack Obama's War on American Values."

Besides the economic crisis, Obama is having to worry about his own security. The Secret Service reportedly is dealing with more threats against him than any other president-elect in history.

"There are a lot of things that keep me up at night," Obama, 47, confided in the ABC interview...

I don’t want to break him down, fer cryin out loud he’s gonna be President. We need a capable president.

But it wouldn’t surprise me one single bit if he’s the first president to go postal... he ain’t got a clue about what he bit off.

Hmmmm, wonder if diagnosing him with attention deficit was closer to home than not;

http://healthguide.howstuffworks.com/facial-tics-dictionary.htm

Certain medications, such as methylphenidate (used to treat hyperactivity in children), were previously thought to precipitate tics in children already prone to the disorder. However, recent studies published do not support this notion and suggest that these

medications can be used in children with tics who also have attention deficit disorder,

which commonly occurs in the same population.

hmmmm, not Downs, but Tourette?

Such tics are often symptomatic of nervous disorders such as Tourette syndrome.

He’s looking more and more like a James Bond movie villain with each passing day.

Wasn’t Øbama said to be using vocabulary that had a hypnotic effect?

Eliminate Facial Tics With Hypnosis and Nlp(Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

Tics can result from some nutritional deficiencies such as a lack of magnesium, but they can also very often be symptoms of other disorders such as Tourette syndrome, whose causes are thought to be neurological, and, to a certain extent, genetically inherited.

He’ll probably resort to surgery if this keeps up.

He should not really be worried about anything at this point.

I noticed a significant change in his demeanor right after he and Plugs got their first top secret briefing. You could see the stress on his face and in his body language. You can't hide that stuff, no matter how much coaching you receive. At that point I think Obammy's "chickens came home to roost." I think it was after that briefing when he realized he'd bit off way, way more than he could chew. He's clearly way out of his league....

This is why you should be tested with a small executive responsibility followed by larger and larger ones...to simply see if you can handle it. His desire to go from the on ramp to the high speed lane in one fell swoop is going to put us all in peril.

He probably will have Bell’s Paulsy by March...if he doesn’t have it already.

I’m conflicted about this. If he does not lose his cool, he can destroy our country and its institutions by his choices and legislation! If he does lose his cool, it will weaken his ability to destroy our country but make us vulnerable to our enemies.

However, we are already vulnerable now that he’s our next POTUS.

We’re screwed no matter which way you look at it. :(

Well, Israel has got to hit Iran before Bush leaves office. That’s a huge possibility.

Brilliant statement. To add to that. Look how he lost his cool when he got one “hard” question at his recent press briefing. God. The guy has not been tested in the least yet. We are screwed.

It's not a tic, it's a tell. It only happens when he's lying.

Yep. The "career politicians" are one of the main reasons we find ourselves in the mess we are in. I think most of the truly qualified business people want absolutely nothing to do with gubmint or the media anal probe that comes with public office.

It reminds me of the old adage about teachers: "Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Those that can't teach go into administration."

The same thing is true for the majority of our current crop of politicians. If they could make a living outside of gubmint, they would. Since they can't manage to eek out a living in the private sector, they seek to become gubmint bureaucrats for life...

Regarding “first emerging during the primary season”... My theory is that durng the primary season he experienced his first actual competition. He had never had competition before. If the MSM gives him his continuous free-ride during his Presidency, maybe he can make it.

He is a very weak man and should not be POTUS.
