This appears to be what is the final follow up on the story of the Muslims at Swift Plant who demanded extra break times to pray for the month of Ramadan. After a back and forth struggle which saw about 100 Muslims being fired, Swift will be paying the Muslims hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Calling the supreme court. If the plant didn’t offer equal “break” time for all employees, singling out muslims for prayer time is unconstitutional.
They actually took time away from the non-Muslims to accommodate the Muslims. The only way they could make up the lost time was to come in on Saturdays. Which cost them time away from their families.
How does this make any sense?
I will assume that the Work Connection is a Temp Agency.
The Job being offered requires the worker to handle pork. So the agency trying to cover its butt with the employee and the employer wants proof that it informed the employee that they may have to handle pork.
But despite their best efforts they get pulled into this lawsuit anyway.
What ever happened to the notion in this topsy turvy world that you dont apply for jobs that you do not want to do or that when you accept a job that you will do things the way that the employer wants them done as long as the employers way is reasonably safe and within the law?
It does not make any sense at all. All they did was ask the Muslims if they were willing to handle pork, which was a requirement of the job. For that they get screwed. Obviously who ever made this judgement knows nothing about Islam.
I wonder if the lawyers will take half.
If they don’t want to handle pork, don’t go to a pork processing plant.
It’s like a feminazi working at a strip joint and claiming “hostile work environment” and “sexual harassment” because there are topless women acting lewd.
Well I do remember a “stripper” in a wheel chair who sued a strip joint owner because he did not have ramps and adequate “people with disabilities” access for her to work and take a shower on stage for the customers. Really. It was in the 1990s. Rush cited it as an extreme example of the litigation in America under such statutes.
Moral of the story; Don’t hire Moslems, don’t hire anyone from Somalia. Hire within the family, thru friends and business contacts or neighbors. In fact, just hire American born citizens if you can get away with asking that anymore because of the PC crap.
I’m more and more deciding that overseas Moslems from certain countries are not interested in being Americans, but are agents for their own religion and mores.

These folks need to be considered unfit for life in any of the Western societies if they are unwilling to assimilate..
