Is The Congressman Who Warned of Obama Dictatorship Really Crazy?
The Patriot Room ^ | November 11, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Here are a few more details about Obama's plan, which had Joseph Farah scratching his head. First is Obama's quote.

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Now, since I've never heard anyone inside or out of government use the phrase "civilian national security force" before, I was more than a little curious about what he has in mind. . . .

What does it mean?

If we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal? . . .

Are we talking about creating a police state here?

The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops. That doesn't count reserves or National Guard. In 2007, the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion.

Obama also has some very radical notions about disarming the population as well.

More . . .

the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion.

Wow, and they spent $700 billion bailing out financial institutions.

Makes me wonder where our priorities lie.

Since he has no plans on using them to secure the border and no plans to send them overseas, that leaves only American streets for his “security force” to secure.

First of all, another $439 billion in DC is pretty small potatoes after what we have seen.

Second of all, we seem to be talking about brownshirts here.

Well, the vast majority of our armed forces would never raise a weapon on their own people - BUT, some "homeys" with a grudge just might.
On the other hand, there are, what, several million (conservative American) gun owners who are a lot more disciplined than a thuggish group of urban neer-do-wells with a bone to pick.
Not a happy thought either way, though.

Nah, he just helped Georgia move ahead of Texas in the race to secede.

If you look at the texts of one hundred of his speeches...they all lead into some kind of dream without any substance or facts. He was the same way in Illinois for that six year period, with fantastic words and no delivery. The two years as senator? Same deal...words but no “steak and potatoes” in his delivery.

Take a look at Pelosi...she isn’t even bothering waiting on the Obama team or some vision from the President. She is already all over the stimulus package and the auto-bailout plan. She has other things popping up daily. Even Pelosi knows that the Obama team is being led with a “empty suit”.

Obama’s only saving grace is the fact that he can stand in front of the American people and give a speech to push them in some direction...which I think Pelosi and the Democratic leadership are fairly concerned about.

I hate to suggest a Republican’s worst nightmare...but Pelosi might be the one thing in the way of a Obama dictatorship...and thats like a Freddy Kruger-Perdator-Alien-Knight Rider movie all tied up in one. I realize some of you will freak out and cough up hairballs when I suggest Pelosi as a threat to the Obama team...but sit and think about it.

the US military is a civilian army, so why do you need ANOTHER one. You often see it in leftist dictator run countries, they have another army that deals with internal discent.

It’s not your pappy’s FEMA ... and that is the excuse that will be used. Note how the discussion talks about civil defense, natural disaster mitigation, etc. That’s the cloak of legitimacy that will be used.

I’ve been wondering for awhile where I can pick up my brown shirt, or if Sen. Obama’s already designed our spiffy new black uniforms for us.

No, Paul Broun is not crazy. Anyone who ignores his warning is, though.

Now, it is possible that Barack Hussein Obama will only be the next James Earl Carter, a well meaning dolt, with bad economic ideas that will wreck what is left of our economy and a childishly, naïve foreign policy, that will badly weaken America.

But, there are real signs that Obama has designs on turning America into a Marxist dictatorship.

He has called the Constitution flawed for lacking provision for redistribution of wealth, has an initial tax plan that would effectively put over half the nation on welfare, and has demanded a Civlian National Security Force as strong and well funded as the Military (that would be about half a trillion dollars a year).

He also had his “truth squad” of law enforcement officials in Missouri, intimidate his opposition with threats of prosecution.

Combine that with the fact that the process of nationalizing our banks and insurance companies has already begun under Bush, and a Marxist dictatorship is a genuine possibility.

Broun isn’t crazy unless truth telling is now the equivalent. I’m waiting for him to be labeled as such by Obamaites, including the MSM, and hounded until he either capitulates and gets with the program or loses his seat.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a new law is passed against uttering negative, implied or not, comments about The Big Zero. You are not allowed to point out that The One is naked.

The scariest thing is that a good many republicans will sign on to such a “security force”.

We the people are growing increasingly angry with good reason and our representatives are frightened by this. We have trillions of dollars stolen from us for bailouts, ignored on border control, told we have no standing to know if our president elect is legally eligible to hold office, ballot measures are being overruled by courts etc.

"...a big deal?"

Oh, ya. I'd say it is a big deal because it represents the thinking of someone with little use for the U.S. Constitution. Specifically, its Bill of Rights. The 10th Amendment reads: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Following the massacres at Waco and Ruby Ridge under the Clinton administration, some 23 States either strengthened or adopted 10th Amendment provisions for their State Constitutions in an effort to form a bulwark against Federal intrusion. Obama's civilian security corps represents nothing more than the formation of a Federal army with a view towards usurping the those powers resting with individual States, and imposing its will upon the people. Secession anyone?

And, much like the democrats who keep Dodd in his chairmanship, we blindly leave Boehner in his (lack of) leadership position. We need a team of opposition strength not the type of lap dogs that give into the Bolshevik Bit$h....
