Congratulations? [Expletive Deleted by Mod]

There is an American habit of congratulating our opponents when we lose. And it’s appropriate when we have been bested in an equal contest. But when we have been cold cocked by our opponents and kicked to the curb by their friends, congratulations are the actions of a whipped cur.

For me, in this race, congratulations are bullshit. Moreover, I have no intention of being a good loser. Show me a good loser, and I’ll show you a loser.

Unless we didn’t mean what we said.

Obama and his friends told us that if we opposed him we were racists. And that was a big part of his appeal: he’s black. A large part the people who voted for him did so because he’s black and that’s no basis for congratulations. That’s not something we can be proud of.

Obama’s minister, friends and associated were racist, thugs and terrorists, but the MSM, the organs that were supposed to vet our candidates for us determined that these were not links that were worthy of inquiry. Instead, we were treated to the clothing bills of the Republican Vice Presidential candidate. That’s not something we can be proud of.

The Obama campaign promised 95% of the American people tax cuts. And impossibility when 95% of the American people don’t pay taxes. You can bet that this had an impact on the election, but the MSM did not send its truth squads out to report this lie. Instead we were treated to speculation that Sarah Palin’s child was really her daughter’s. That’s not something we can be proud of.

Yes, I am, just like those WWI and WWII vets who fought to defend our country...against ideologies embraced by the current “Christian” president-elect.

Nice try, though, trying to defeat my argument with an ad hominem attack, that if I believe in fighting hard and constant, then I'm at odds with Christianity.

Are you a Christian? Maybe you don't know because of what your church teaches. But Jesus didn't simply turn the tables of the money-changers over, he drove them out with whips.

Wrong. Read the Federalist papers for starters. Our Founders made a very sharp distinction between the forms of government; between a democracy and a republic. Read ‘Liberty or Equality’ by Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn. Using modern definitions does injury to understanding. Modern definitions are intentionally misleading for reasons of propigating a political agenda. The only source that counts is that defined by the ORIGINAL INTENT of those who formed our government. Anything else is spurious and suspect.

Well said. I agree wholeheartedly that instead of ad-hominem’s, we should have attacked with facts and solutions.

There was NO ad hominem. I had an honest question because there are some conservative atheists and/or people of other faiths who post on FreeRepublic. I wanted to know if you believed in moral absolutes or not.

As for what you stated about Jesus, there is a place for righteous anger. Jesus would never, however, use immoral, unethical means to accomplish a good end. If that were the case, there would be NO such thing as a moral absolute.

Example: Democrats used voter registration fraud and, most likely voter fraud....not to mention illegally collecting money for their purposes. No Christian conservative should EVER resort to such tactics.

Perhaps you should be more specific about exactly what you favor copying from the “Alinsky rules,” since that is where their strategy came from.

Thanks for clearing up the question and glad to learn it wasn’t intended as an ad hominem.

Read my other posts. I said, “anything legal is fair game.”

We’ve been far too polite. We’ve avoided making a scene. We just wanted to get along. We need to acknowledge that they consider us the enemy and will never be our friends. Trust me, I lived in Seattle for about 10 years. There is no befriending them. Being quiet only encourages their vitriol and convinces them they are right.

I’m only suggesting getting far more aggressive and impolite, if need be. We have to expand our tactics to include those tactics they use that persuade opinion, make people pause before being strident or vitriolic.

In short, no more Mr. Nice Guy, and we’ve got to crank up the protests and raise our voices.

Ok...maybe I misunderstood your intent in the initial post. If that’s so...I definitely apologize. As for standing up to the onslaught of the ridiculous Democrat agenda, I heartily concur. They should not be allowed to get away with anything. Personally, I’d like to see independent investigations of government officials involvement in the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac thing. I also think we ought to start making LOUD noises about photo ID for voter registration and actual voting.
