October 15, 2008 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Today, KDKA Radio in Pittsburgh, PA, the oldest radio station in the country, and a CBS affiliate, censored Kevin Miller, one of its conservative talk show hosts while he was on the air.

Who will run the “Ministry of Truth” when Big Barry is elected?
There’s always internet radio. Well, maybe. That might be gone, too.
You need to provide a credible link to this article. The link you provided is bogus.
Admin and Lead Mods — take note.
It will be interesting to hear more about this incident. CBS is JUST the worst. Katie Couric isn’t fit to feed my dog.
Would said Kevin Miller mention something about this on his webpage??
I think it’s just a DUmmie troll trying to get FReepers upset. You’d think they’d be busy and all be partying over Dick Cheney’s heart problems, wouldn’t you, instead of hanging out here?
(Just checked DU—yep, they’re hoping Cheney’s got cancer and other things too nasty to be mentioned in polite company.)
Internet radio? Don’t be so sure. Like anti-Obama blogs, BlogTalkRadio shows are starting to get shut-down, too.
This seems unreal, even for the MSM. Also, it does not seem to be supported at the link provided.
Please link to the exact article where this is mentioned, or, are these your own words?
Not a troll, just a newbie.
This is legitimate. It happened shortly after the 2 o'clock hour.
I wouldn't be surprised if Miller is sitting on it right now for fear of his job.
Ping
FWIW, I can confirm the story is valid. I was listening to the end of Kevin Miller's show on 1020am in Pittsburgh this afternoon.
If it IS true, then we all need to FReep the station with emails and phone calls on when we can listen to Senator McCain’s 3 hours of free air time as well!! :-)
“Fair and Balanced” indeed!
Ok yes, I saw your post after mine, however it seems as if it may be an example of what the “Fairness Doctrine” would bring, and not actual action on CBS’s part.
Did Miller say anything about this? Was he cut off abruptly? Even if he was cut off abruptly, then it could still be a “stunt” as described. Which, I’m not saying is a bad idea to illustrate what the “Fairness Doctrine” could do, but still, is not what the OP claimed.
I think cooler heads should prevail here; we must wait and see what the real story is. Radio personalities do stuff like this from time to time to draw attention to either themselves or a certain cause. It doesn’t necessarily mean CBS pulled the plug...
...UNLESS, again, misspittsburgh or you have some other source that confirms the claim made in the OP.
Ping!
Did any of you western Pa. folks hear this?
What the heck?!
Our great country is being attacked from without and within.
Muslims around the world call us the great satan.
Europe wants us neutered.
Russia, Iran and Venezuela think they can intimidate us.
And the dims and the msm’s are fixin’ to corronate a freaking Socialist.
Who will give into everything they want.
And the fairness doctrine is just the first attempt to permanently alter the First Amendment.
I think Ben Franklin said it best:
IF WE DON’T HANG TOGETHER, THEN WE WILL SURELY HANG SEPERATELY.
Does the Lead Moderator ever really do anything?
I mean....seriesly. ;)
Was this request for Kevin Miller to “rethink” accompanied by a Molotov cocktail through the station manager’s window?
It’s well after 2 pm - what was the result of this “on air” meeting?
