An Angry Republican
Mynotepad.us ^ | 10/10/08 | Jim Michell

John McCain asked us at the GOP convention to stand up and fight with him. We are fighting, but why isn’t Sen. McCain?

I was encouraged when I saw the news of people at his events, filled with anger and calling for Sen. McCain to fight. But then today we saw him almost endorse B. Hussein Obama. Does Sen. McCain not understand our anger? We are not mad at Sen. McCain. Even those of us who don't agree with some of his political positions share an enormous respect him for the sacrifices he has made his entire life for our country. If any man could earn the Presidency of the United States, John McCain surely has earned it through his personal sacrifices and the torture he endured during his years of captivity.

But, as you all well know, we don’t select our President that way. We give the Presidency to the person who motivates us to cast our votes by proving to us that he (or she) shares our values and will protect our country from people who want to do harm to it.

Sen. McCain is in an ideal position to motivate this country to elect him. Our country has spared itself from a subsequent terrorist attack on our soil because of strong Republican leadership in the White House. The current economic crisis in our country is the direct result of the carelessness and ineptitude of Democrat lawmakers who forced banks to provide mortgages to people who could not afford homes. And, on top of everything else, the opposing party has chosen as its presidential nominee a man so unqualified and incompetent that the only thing he knows how to do well is make friends with terrorists, thieves and hate mongering racist.

Sen. McCain is aware of these facts, but he has yet to point them out to a national audience. We need to hear him say that he is not going to let us take the blame for everything that is wrong with the world anymore. We want to hear him say the war in Iraq was the right thing to do. We need to hear him say that Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Jimmy Carter are the cause of this economic crisis.

Sen. McCain defended us in Vietnam, giving everything short of his life, I honor the fact that he survived just to irritate his captors, but we want that warrior back. For eight years the Bush administration has sat quietly in the White House and allowed the Left to demonize him, his administration, and those of us who supported and voted for him and we are tired of it. President Bush has kept us safe for 8 years. Sen. McCain should honor that and defend it and promise to keep us just as safe during his term. Obama talks about stopping genocide, why does Sen. McCain not challenge Obama on why he voted to ensure genocide in Iraq? And if you believe Obama about him being the lone voice against the war in Iraq to begin with, then why was he voicing opposition to end the genocide that Saddam and his two sons were causing in Iraq? Why did Obama support Odinga, and has never denounced him, who caused genocide in Kenya?

We are angry.

We are fighting for Sen. McCain, when is he going to join us?

Respectfully,

An Angry Republican (and donor to McCain/Palin08)

savage had an interesting take.

said that the repubs because of the mess the country is in, are throwing the election. evidence mccain won’t fight back and he won’t go on limbaugh.

he said that mccain was just the fall guy to stand and take the punches.

if he’s right, i fear that there won’t be anything left after 4 years of obama.

It would be funny if McCain just came out and said, 'Dont Vote For Me. The Democrats and Obama created this crisis with their bad loan CRA agenda, let them fix it.'

We are on the verge of open revolt. Suggest congress be put on indefinite leave and house arrest. Dodd and Frank to be put on trial at once for sedition. Government to be put in hands of military Chiefs of Staff. All banks to be closed for a two week “holiday” while nationalization is implemented. Stock Market shut down until further notice.

I’m serious.

McCain Lauds and Attacks Obama in Same Day

“McCain...told voters at a town-hall-style meeting that Mr. Obama was “a decent person” and a “family man” and suggested that he would be an acceptable president should he win the White House.

But moments later, Mr. McCain, the Republican nominee, renewed his attacks on Mr. Obama for his association with the 1960s radical William Ayers and told the crowd, “Mr. Obama’s political career was launched in Mr. Ayers’ living room.”

This excerpt is from the NY Times. I can’t post it because I’m new. But, McCain was getting beat down today (myself included) because the view was he had surrendered. But, this column seems to contradict that.

isn’t interesting how in this advanced technological age,

the msm can deflect the truth from

the majority of the electorate?

This is not McCains fault. He is being drowned by events. He is being Hooverized. There is basically nothing he can do that will be successful at this point. Barak Obama is currently the luckiest guy on earth to have this financial mess fall into his lap. Wonder if he and the lovely Michelle will appreciate their good fortune or just view it as a partial repayment of everything they are owed by this country and the rest of us.

Picture Michelle in the White House. Remember how Hillary treated the staff? It will be interesting to see if Michelle is better or worse.

McKinley and Harding won the White House by staying at home and making speeches from their front porches while their surrogates around the country took the fight to the Democrats. Could McCain be trying to run the 21st century version of a “front porch” campaign?

McCain doesn’t want to be blaimed for an over reaction if Obama wins is because there will be one no matter who wins .Hussain has run an election with lies, half thruths, and deceptions and the American people know it, MSM is jerking themselves because they are not doing their job. The first place BO is going to go after is talk radio once he wins. BECAUSE HE DOESN’T WANT ANY OPPOSITION
WE’RE PISSED WE KNOW THE DEMS HAVE SCREWED UP..COST US OUR SAVINGS..OUR HOMES...OUR SECURITY ...AND IF THEY DON’T OPEN UP ON BO there’s gonna be a problem http://www.theusmat.com/

I have to say the same thing!! Its so depressing to see what has happened in this country, just since my childhood, and Im 45!! Its a fight against Good vs Evil this time around!! Its not just a normal election, because everything is coming against conservatism!! The media is against us, teaching in schools, and in alot of liberal churches!! Its time to open our eyes, and realize that there is a higher power in control!! Im seeing it clearer everyday!! Thank you God, that you are in control!!

I still believe that McCain is waiting to pull the trigger during/after the third debate. The attention span in this country is so short now that it is necessary, like the grand finale of a fireworks display, to put out a concentrated effort when the most people are paying attention. It comes down to the squishy middle, PUMAS and other Clintonites. The ACORN RICO thang also may play in to this all.

If McCain is saving it all for after the debate it at least disallows Obama a huge audience to try to shoot down McCain's points. Obama also has been spending like crazy so who knows if McCain has some inside scoop about Obama's finances (MSM aside).

After the debate on the 15th there are twenty days to keep hitting not just about Ayers but Iraq, taxes, healthcare, UN Relief Fund, abortion, etc. The only question is how much tv and radio ad time slots are still available.

8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 1 Cor 14:8-9

So, Sen. McCain, will you sound the trumpet for battle, for surrender or retreat? It is time to lead, or else you should never have entered the fray. It is not good enough to simply run for President of the United States if you didn't enter the contest to lead AMERICA TO VICTORY.

You’re exactly right. McCain is basically a corpse with working legs. He’s not doing jack! I’ve had it. I’m starting to realize he’s not a realistic candidate—he’s the candidate only because the Republican party awarded this to him as promised for not being Kerry’s running mate.

This entire election is a frickin’ joke! Forget the stock market. You all better be buying beans and ammo, because this country is in the shitter and will be flushed when the fascist Obama is in office.

I say it is needed. We would get that revolt with Obama. I don't think those that can revolt would over throw Mccain
