I like Liz Trotta on Fox News. I think she generally has some fairly objective and insightful things to say about the media, so I usually delay heading off to Mass until she wraps her just-before-9 a.m. segment.
Liz definitely is not in the tank for Sarah Palin, and I was disturbed by her final observations about her view of Palin's perceived lack of depth by reporting that "some people" found it distasteful that Palin was bringing "that handicapped child and dragging it around the stage."
It???
Distasteful????
Sad, really, and you have to think that if it was a Democrat, we would be hearing paeans to how this move was designed to bring all of our citizens into the mainstream.
There is something about the babies of Republican women politicians.
Liz Trotta should apologize, or it should be fired from Fox.
Dehumanizing someone is the first step toward creating a climate of persecution and death. That is why an unborn baby is not a baby, but an “it” to these people as well.
“It” is just tissue.
Ping!
Most of the anti Obama stuff I see is located right there! LOL
Liz, you're ugly and you're fired.
What a sick, nasty, horrible thing for Liz to say.
Good!
[”Turtle Stink”?!?]....LOL
I saw this and was shocked at the coldness of this woman. I wonder if she, herself, is a mother? No real mother would ever say this about any child. I hope she is taken to task concerning her insensitive comments.
We saw it too and emailed Fox.

We strongly object to Liz Trotta’s comment today, Sunday October 5, that people object to Governor Palin bringing “that handicapped child and dragging it around the stage” on campaign stops.
First of all, Trig is not “that handicapped child,” nor is he an “it.” He is a human being. Secondly, Governor Palin does not “drag” Trig around. We think it’s a wonderful example of grace that Governor Palin shares Trig with us. She sends a signal of hope and acceptance to all families with special needs children. In particular Trig’s presence on stage sends a positive message to siblings of special needs children who may feel embarrassed or different because they have a sister or brother who doesn’t look or act as other children. Furthermore, seeing Trig in public reminds us to teach our children compassion for others. That people with special needs are God’s gift to the world because they teach us patience, grace, and to love unconditionally.
Does Ms. Trotta think that Governor Palin is disqualified from being vice-president because she has small children? Perhaps Ms. Trotta is an elitist who assumes that everybody has the funds to hire a full-time nanny. Or worse, does Ms. Trotta think that mothers of special needs children ought to hide them away so that the world doesn’t have to suffer the discomfort of their existence?
We think Ms. Trotta’s remark was small-minded and tasteless. We will turn the channel if ever again we see her on Fox.
Thanks for the link -- disturbing to say the very least.
Way to go..you helped save that baby..this is such a great forum...
I’d rather be seeing touching holding hearing little Trig instead of this hormonally challenged shemale charlatan chatterer any time any place.
well now I feel stupid cause i really liked his in your face reporting on the UN during the John Bolton days. but he really was channeling charles krauthammer there with Liz. they looked like two old crows pecking at a cat turd.
Gee I wonder if a new mother of a nonhandicapped child would get the same reception..esp if the mother was a LIBERAL.
Sometimes they let their masks slip, and you see what these talking heads really are. And it’s ugly. I hope America is paying attention.
thx, I always tear up when I talk about it, but what’s a dad to do?
My reaction was, shall we say more severe. I was actually doing work on the laptop with the TV in the background and I spun around to hear it. What a Vile women......
This will be all over talk radio tomorrow and people will be outraged....
