I guess you can't always tell at first

Rod Dreher, a self described "crunchy con" blogger has, over the last week or so, become a wildly ardent critic of Sarah Palin, actually going on morning tv and Larry King, who used him to demonstrate conservatives think Palin's unfit to serve...

Slipped over the edge and revealed his own lack of belief in democracy for anyone but himself as well...

He's calling for "an acceptable dictator" apparently be installed and then we leave Afghanistan, on his blog at beliefnet.

With friends like this, conservatives don't need enemies.

Other wacky statements like "Well, look, I can read the newspaper, and I have a deep mistrust of what I regard as naive American optimism."

Sometimes you think someone is on the side of being a conservative, and behold... they believe in dictators and don't believe in Americans.

What makes him a conservative spokesman? I guesss he’s learned that the best way to get your face on TV is to say you’re conservative and then go and bash conservatives. This Sarah thing has been such a crazy phenomenon...the level of nastiness I have never seen in my 50 years on this earth.

I wanted to add another link here...

http://blog.beliefnet.com/crunchycon/2008/09/dow_7000_on_black_monday_comments.html

This is where he says he doesn’t believe in Americans...

http://blog.beliefnet.com/crunchycon/2008/10/losing-afghanistan.html

And here’s his advocacy of losing in Afghanistan and advocating a dictatorship there.

You just can’t make this stuff up. It’s too surreal to be fiction.

If Governor Sarah Palin and soon to be VPOTUSA
was as bad as the democrats try to portray her,
she would be ignored.

They fear her so much that they put both Senator
Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. and Senator Barrack
Hussein Obama glaring faults on her.

The level of nastiness is sort of to be expected. Palin’s what’s known as “disruptive” to the order of things. The closest thing we’ve had to a “citizen executive” in a long time. No long career in politics, and even more amazing, not Washington DC centric.

And oh, my, the “she is not qualified” bozos come running out of the woodwork.

As if those long term dullards in DC have demonstrated wisdom?

Crunchy cons aren’t conservative.

And what the heck are they? A conservative who believes in dictators and that Americans are naive about their abilities?

Seems like the epitome of a liberal...

Rod Dreher has NEVER been a conservative. His past articles have clearly revealed that.

Dreher’s just another Dem who happens to actually be Catholic and pro-life, and can’t reconcile it...yet.

I consider myself a “crunchy” conservative, and I’m deeply embarrassed by Dreher.

Anybody that spouts the Green doctrine is not conservative.

Do your homework!
