Back on August 21, FactCheck released photos apparently showing Barack Obama's birth certificate (actually his "Certificate of Live Birth" or "COLB"). At the time, I noted that the EXIF information (added by the camera) showed that the pictures had been shot months before and I mentioned such possibilities as them not setting up their camera correctly, a bad battery, and the like.
Now, FactCheck has recompressed those images and removed the EXIF information in so doing. However, their sidebar linking to the images still contains the old file sizes (factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html).
The only image I downloaded was birth_certificate_3.jpg, and I've included links to the version retrieved on August 21 and a version retrieved today below. I'm not a Gimp expert by any means, but a simple subtraction seemed to show that the images were the same other than the missing EXIF and the different file sizes. There's a discussion of this here, and if anyone else notices any other differences leave a comment.

Polarik, looks some others have noted what you have.
Stick to whatever subject you wish. All you have to do is examine ‘Factcheck’s’ bullsh*t article on his 2nd amendment stance and you will know these idiots are completely in the tank for Obama.
I want to know why his father’s race says “African”. Was that term really used in 1961? Not all Africans are black, so why would they use that description of race?
Welcome to Free Republic.
I’m highly amused by the ‘freepers’ that argue we should stick to the issues to beat Obama yet only spend their time trolling for threads like these telling folks to stick to the issues.
Just a tip. BTW, generally, where you at? I'm near the Metroplex.
See post to pissant, made it to him but directed it to itsPatAmercian, sorry pissant, but always good to see you here.
You sound very confident. Have you seen the polls lately? There is a very good chance Nobama will be the next president of the United States of America. We need all the ammunition we can get. Let Nobama produce his birth certificate.
Same here. I don’t waste my time on threads I consider to be a waste of time. But they seem to do it all the time, showing their position to be nonsense.
obumpa
ONe thing that the article failed to mention is that you can retain the Exif data if you so desire.
We are way beyond the point of saying that FactCheck and everyone with whom they are associated, are NOT idiots with a camera. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.
The vaunted Israel Insider passed it off as "incompetence" on their part, but, and here's a preview, FactCheck did quite a bot of forging of their own, on the photos they took. Do people really beleive that FactCheck was NOT paying attention to what I was finding over the past three to four months? Do they think that it was a coincidence that they specifically tried to dismiss my research in their article with the same, WRONG answers? Ah, no. They have been very diligent in learning what NOT to show in their photographs. "Pixel halos," as they intentionally called them, was the first challenge for them to Photoshop away. But, I've got so much more to tell. It's just finding the time to do it.
You need to go back a few months to when it was explained. BTW, that question was one of the original complaints lodged against it.
Basically, Barack Sr. was a Kenyan citizen, and AFRICAN is what he was
According to Phil Berg, the birth certificate issue is meaningless:
“Even if Obama was, in fact, born in Hawaii, he lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother re-married and moved to Indonesia with her Indonesian husband.”

Well, I finally am getting fed up with it and posted a vanity about it.
