Former DNC Chair Don Fowler Thinks It’s Funny That A Hurricane May Hit New Orleans
The Patriot Room ^ | August 30, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Posted on 08/30/2008 12:07:37 PM PDT by Bill Dupray

Absentee over at Red State was on a plane returning from the Convention in Denver and was seated behind the former DNC chairman Don Fowler and Rep. Congressman John Spratt (D-SC). They were talking about Gustav possibly making landfall in New Orleans as the curtain goes up at the GOP Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Apparently that’s a frickin’ riot.

The masterful handling of a crisis by competent adults (Republicans, now that all Gulf Coast states have Republican governors?) may turn out to bite these idiots once again.

But certainly good people will suffer if there is another storm and that is very sobering.

Godspeed to all our fellow citizens on the Gulf Coast. Prayers up for Gov Jindal and President Bush.

Gustav hits NO during convention:

Send Palin to handle it and tone the RNC down.

The Republicans cannot afford to 'drop the gavel' at any costs.

Maybe he should go help with the clean-up if he thinks it’s so darn funny.

150 years ago, Fowler would've owned a plantation with slaves and gone into the fields in his carriage (with shade, of course) to laugh at the sufferings of his chattel. They're still the same party, only the clothes are different...

This video needs to make the news. At least, Hannity should show it.

Can we tie the jerk to a stake and put it out on a beach in New Orleans and check back in a few days?

Fowler is the guy who cast the deciding vote at the DNC Rules Committee to give some of Hillary’s delegates in Florida and Michigan to Obama. In other words - gave the nomination to Obama, although he was a Hillary delegate.

Here is the thing that that everyone missed - Fowler got his revenge on the Clintons for setting him up as the fall guy in the White House basement breakfast fundraisers during the Clinton Administration.

In fairness, we had a good laugh at the Democrats when those tornados hit in Denver when their convention was starting.

Only a lowlife, stinking DemocRAT would make a joke about a massive hurricane hitting the Gulf coast. What a scumbag.

I most certainly would rather the hurricane simply go away... but the conventional wisdom that this will help Obama is wrong. The Republicans in Minnesota, in conjunction with the administration in D.C., can gain lots of good will if they play their cards right during this storm.

And did anyone expect any better from Democrats? This is how they show their “compassion.”

(BTW, “liberal compassion” is an oxymoron.)

Since LA’s new, competent, and Republican governor already has an evacuation in progress and making all arrangements possible at this time, a hurricane hitting New Orleans and having minimal casualties will completely debunk all of the drive-by mythology about Katrina.

All we’ll need is for someone to congratulate Jindal on his good job during a speech at the convention.

This has the makings of a very effective (yet fair and factual) ad against the Dems if this storm harms people.

That they are.

As if we needed any other evidence, David Duke has endorsed Obama. So did Robert KKK Byrd, months ago.

As I said, did you expect anything different from The Party of Compassion?

Agreed . Have a crew ready to film jindel and barbour in action. Play all of the video clips of those praying for human diaster at the convention . Why not simulcast both events if things go sideways .
