For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!
On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha “baggage” that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP ——

I don’t think that there is any reason for us to diss McCain at the moment. Obviously we disagree with many of the positions that he has taken in the past. However, in the last few weeks he has done a lot to try and win back our votes with his Saddleback appearance and then his choice of Sarah Palin for VP. So, at this point I think we need to show him more respect so that we do not appear to be impossible to please.

I am not willing to forget YEARS of being dissed by HIM... just because he has thrown conservatives a bone in this election.. the PROOF will be in how he ACTS as President.. not campaigns... at least I am NOW willing to support the ticket with his name on it.....
I can certainly understand that, I wasn’t sure if I could support McCain before he selected Sarah Palin as VP. Its just that if he is smart enough to select a conservative VP then that does say something positive about his judgment. And since he seems to be capable of moving in a more conservative direction, I would hate to see conservatives do anything that would unneccessarily tick him off.
If he gets “ticked off” because conservatives are NOW willing to vote for him..... than we have a very serious problem on our hands my FRiend.... I think we need to send the message loud and clear that conservatives enthusiasticly support CONSERVATVES -— and if he wants enthusiastic support from US he needs to take a few lessons from his VP... again, I am willing to support the ticket, but we can’t let our guard down for 1 second over the next 4 years !!

I thought you might.. I don’t understand why I am getting attacked from my fellow FReepers about my “McCain is baggage” posts.... IMHO, anyone who does not “get it” is more RINO than conservative.... John McCain deserves some credit for getting Sarah Palin to even agree to be on the ticket with him... now let’s see where he goes from here

Spare me..... I don’t see this as being the least bit disrespectful... McCain is a RINO... Sarah Palin is carrying this ticket IMHO... period.. I just want to make sure I make that perfectly clear...
I prefer to think of McCain as an opening act.
