For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!
On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha baggage that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP
now.... here is a line I have not used in a while
TOWARD VICTORY !!!

Thank you David, that is basically my approach and what I have been trying to say.
I would also add, it is the only option we have left to us, to try and keep him from trending any more left than he already has.

“David...as much as I respect you...please stop it.”
“Youre not helping the conservative cause at all.”
Supporting a McCain presidency is NOT a conservative cause, no matter WHO his sidekick is!!! HE will be POTUS and with THAT comes far too much liberalism. If you’re expecting her to change or influence who McCain is and what he represents, you’ve just bought his political shell game hook line and sinker.

...insincerely trying to tarnish a MOUNTAIN of evidence from reputable news sources peppered with John McCain's own statements. McCain hangs himself.
Did you catch McCain being interviewed by Chris Wallace this morning?

You’re welcome.
Here, as in life, if you are afraid to exercise your rights, you’ve already lost them. I will not be silent just to be politically correct.

Why the nastiness?
Do you think that you will win anyone to your way of thinking by insulting them and calling them names?
And calling conservatives ‘purists’, you establish yourself as just another Republican who can’t stand conservatives.
To: SoConPubbie
It means no republican can win any office unless he attracts those voters in the middle.
We here would do well to understand the need for republican candidates to appeal to those voters, or we might as well give up.
That’s what it means.

dixiechick2000,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post... If you really take the time to think about it.. IMHO my posts actually FUTHER conservatism... if ALL conservatives stand together and make it clear that we prefer the policy of Sarah Palin over John McCain, maybe just maybe McCain will get the point, and as an added bonus he gets to ride HER coattails to the oval office..... Anyone who sees this any other way is more of a “REPUBLICAN” than a “CONSERVATIVE” -—

Of course he feels, like I do McCain will do a better job on the WOT, but other than that there is not a dimes worth of difference between osama obama and McCain.
I think the differences are a bit more profound than that. Say what we will about McCain, he didn't begin his political career at the knee of domestic terrorists like William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn.
They are both for opening the floodgate for illegals. Neither are for drilling anywhere there is oil and until recently McCain was not even for new drilling anywhere.
McCain is now on the record of putting border security first, before any sort of immigration reform. I'm concerned about that too, but all we have is what he said. If he tries that Kennedy Amnesty crapola again, well sure: it will be obvious he's been playing us for suckers, but I don't see that. On Oil? I'm optimistic that Governor Palin will be able to show McCain the error of his ways, he didn't select her to be a lapdog agreeing with everything he says, he expects her to offer options and alternate ways of looking at things.
Neither are for reducing taxes. McCain SAYS he will not raise taxes, but he did vote against the Bush tax cut and voted against extending it.
McCain is going to look at the numbers and do what is best for the economy. He doesn't need a recession or worse anymore than ANY President does. Assuming he is elected, he will inherit a dangerous world, and he won't need economic instability on the home front. I think that realism will carry the day on that.
Both are going to work to destroy America. The difference is if Osama does it the dimwits will be blamed, if McCain does it the Republicans will be blamed.
Do you honestly believe that in McCain's heart-of-hearts, that all he wants to do is 'destroy America'? I could believe that of Obama and the Marxist thugs that are hoping to seize control of our Nation, but McCain isn't looking to destroy America, and even if he were, his conservative Vice President would have something to say about it.

He started his with Charles Keatinig and the Keating 5
If he tries that Kennedy Amnesty crapola again, well sure: it will be obvious he's been playing us for suckers,
It is pretty obvious that is what he has been doing for the last year.
On Oil? I'm optimistic that Governor Palin will be able to show McCain the error of his ways,
Do you really think Gov. Palin is going to have any influence on John McCain. He picked her (which is the best decision he has ever made) because it was in his best interest. Everything he does is calculated. What is going to be best for him.
McCain is going to look at the numbers and do what is best for the economy.
Again, McCain will do what he thinks will get him the most attention. He is much more concerned with John McCain than America.
Do you honestly believe that in McCain's heart-of-hearts, that all he wants to do is 'destroy America'?
No I do not think he consciously wants to destroy America, but I do think he is more concerned about John McCain than he is about anything else.
I think we have to look out for the long term good of our country, rather than just vote for the less of two evils.

OK, on this we agree. That is why I originally supported Duncan Hunter because he was the ONLY primary candidate (except for Tancredo) who took border security seriously and had actually done something about it, yet was blocked, obstructed and stymied at every turn. I know you supported Hunter. We were allies at that time. You are on my FRiends list from back in the day... those I thought of as true Conservatives.
I do NOT have an explanation for it, and I wish I did.
Then your mocking of me, and your alignment with the "progressive" globalist/socialists who have created this conundrum defies all reason.
Hunter, Tancredo, and their fellows, good Reagan Conservatives all, fought tooth and nail against these very people, raised the alarm (with proof) about China free traitors, the NAU, the LOST treaty, the NAFTA SuperHighway, not to mention the damnable amnesty, and the border fence... Yet here you are sanctioning these very things, and the poster child of all of it, and subject those of us who still fight on to ridicule. It sickens me.
That you are honest enough to admit it is in your favor, truly, but you support this treasonous bastard and his ilk at our peril, and I mean that sincerely.

“Heat? Kitchen?”
What part of “NO PERSONAL ATTACKS” doesn’t apply to you?
You insult and name-call in order to make your point. Keep it up. It only exposes who you are and the weakness of your position and the true nature of your character.
As far as heat, few people can take as much heat, or as well, as I can. I was just curious as to why you persist when there is no evidence that it works to win people to your side.
You say that you have pretty much the same objections to the GOP as those who oppose you, yet you treat them as enemies when the difference in opinion is in what to do to overcome the problem. I’d have thought that you might have been able to buy a clue and find a new approach. I guess not.
