The more I learn about her, the more I like her.

What odds are they giving in Vegas

Why? I think Hillary sees in Sarah the woman she could have been had she not hitched her wagon to the evil that was Bill Clinton.

Her lust for power was only upstaged by his lust for women. Had she left the jerk during the Monica affair she'd have changed history altogether.

Nothing she could say, think, or do from this point foward could be believed to emanate from truth or have virtue as she had abandoned it wilfully. A Goldwater Girl gone bad.

There was an incident not long after she became Governor concerning her sister. The sister was married to an Alaska State trooper who...shall we say...wasn’t exactly what you’d call an upstanding example of a lawman. Domestic violence and alcohol was involved. Anyway, the sister and the trooper were in the midst of a nasty divorce (custody rights were involved). The accusation is that Governpor Palin used her power to try to get the trooper fired from the State Patrol.

According to most people, she never TOLD anyone to “fire him”, but rather suggested to his commander that someone who behaved as he did (there were other incidents involving alcohol) wouldn’t be a good fit for the State Patrol.

Given the fact that the ex-trooper’s wife was the Governor’s sister, it could be seen as using her power to help a family member. However, given that the ex-trooper, by a majority of the accounts, was a class-A scumbag who probably shouldn’t have been an LEO in the first place, I think we can give Gov. Palin a pass on this.

If I have inadvertantly posted any inaccuracies about this incident, I humbly apologize.

“Big deal, if she is guilty of using her power against this scumbag– who beat her sister, tased his stepson, was a drunk. MORE POWER TO HER!”

Thank you for clarifying that. In my opinion, if she did act against the guy (a state LEO), it was totally the right thing to do, no matter WHO his wife was.

I watched her on TV the night she and Bill were on that show where she “stood by her man”

I didnt know her well until then, but I had little respect for her after that appearance...

She came across as insincere...

I remember thinking..”You dont know if he cheated or not. He could be lying to you now, just to get elected.”

Needless to say, I didnt feel sorry for her...

She should have just stayed home...

And yes, divorced him...

I’ve read so much that I don’t know where I saw this but it was a comment that McCain chose her on his own against his advisors.

Mrs. GAB, who is rarely wrong in her political judgment, thinks Biden was not Obama’s first pick, and several leading Democrats turned Obama down.

I think the comments are genuine, I heard them all day yesterday from women that I know are liberal. I have a sister-in-law that is a Democrat, was a supporter of Hillary and she is thrilled about Palin. I never understood my SIL being a Democrat to begin with- she is anti-abortion but bought into the whole idea that the Democrats are the party for the downtrodden, and the women. She no longer believes that at all and is now a supporter of McCain/Palin all the way. My SIL is a California soccer mom, and if there is truth to the legend that soccer moms like her elected Bill Clinton twice, then Obama is in trouble. It is exciting, for once I can talk politics with my SIL without it turning into an arguement!!

I do realize Hillary had hard core supporters that are solidly and rabidly pro-abortion, pro-democrat and I know they will not switch to McCain- but I think many are like my SIL and will now support McCain.

You pretty much captured the essence of the incident!

I would only add that the brother in law tased his own kid, threatened to kill family members, and was/is a total a@@hat...

I believe the ex-brother in law admitted Tazering his stepson - supposedly “training” him. Palin fired the Investigator of the incident because the investigator wanted to sweep the incident under the carpet. Apparently Sarah Palin doesn’t take kindly to corruption and indolence in public officials.

Even some of the pro-abortion ones are willing to switch. They were going to do it just to vote against Obama, who they rightly see as incompetent, but Palin is just icing on the cake. They believe that McCain/Palin will win now and will leave the door open for Hillary in 2012.

I don't have the heart to tell them I'm one of Hillary's 18 million voters and that it won't happen again. =)
