I've had this epiphany lately -- what really bugs me about about liberals doesn't have nearly so much to do with their left-wing socialist policy positions, but more their attitude. It's this self-righteous, sanctimonious arrogance. Everything they say is just dripping with it.
So this is why Barack Obama's choice of Joe Biden is particularly notable. It would have been very difficult to take a campaign like Barack Obama's and make it even more arrogant. Well, yes, he can (si, el puede)! As if one back-slapping, smarmy BSer wasn't enough for you, now we've got two!

Bye-Biden, Obama... bye-bye
(Channeling Seinfeld): “I am speechless. I am without speech.”
Choosing Biden just simply makes no sense. What does a balding, combover, 30+ year entrenched Senator with a plagiaristic history and a mouth that is the #1 gift giver anyside of tiny, mega-Dem Delaware going to help burnish a mantra of “Change”?
The only explanation to me is that essentially all of the most understandable picks (Bayh, Nelson, Kaine and, yes, most of all Hillary) declined the offer and thus Obama was stuck with a low-level choice like Biden.
It's this self-righteous, sanctimonious arrogance. Everything they say is just dripping with it.
I was watching MSNBC early this morning - and the news reader was very disappointed with the democrats. Even the leftist talking heads were critical, not of the choice, but the way it was announced. Supporters were promised that they would be the first to know via text message and email. The announcement came when most were sleeping. News readers, both local and national are still complaining that they havent received the text or email.
Barrack may lose some of the massive idolization and support from our esteemed MSM.
Darn, I wanted it to be Tim Kaine. [And get him out of my state.] At the same time, Obama and Biden deserve each other.
I heard a clip of Tim Kaine in a local interview [living in Virginia]. The guy was as giddy as a school girl, his voice rising to a girlish squeal. Then you might remember when he credited BO with ‘peace’ in Georgia [while playing golf in Hawaii]. I wanted our Virginia flag to fly at half mast. I believe Kaine wanted it so bad that he was having trouble sleeping. His fawning was probably more than even BO could bear.
I take this choice as an answer to prayer. I have been praying that God would bring the whole Libocrat connivance to naught. So I have to take the selection of Joe as part of the fulfillment of that prayer.
And regarding the Libs’ arrogance: 1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Gleaned from the links on Biden:
Democratic presidential candidate Joseph R. Biden Jr., a U.S. senator from Delaware, was driven from the nomination battle after delivering, without attribution, passages from a speech by British Labor party leader Neil Kinnock....
the discovery of other quotations in Bidens speeches pilfered from past Democratic politicians.
Its hard for Obama supporters to play the age card any longer, as their potential veep is all of six years younger than McCain.
He voted for the Iraq War
For all that, though, the likeliest attacks in Biden are all matters of public record, and often problems of his own making.
.. recently took heat in 2006, when he said, You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.
This year, he managed to blow up his official announcement he was entering the race when he deemed Obama the first mainstream African American [candidate] who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.
More substantively, Biden supported the 2002 resolution that authorized the war in Iraqa resolution that Obama opposed.
Biden supports a ban on partial-birth abortion.
HE SUPPORTS DEPLOYING U.S. TROOPS TO DARFUR IN SUDAN. (COULD THIS BE THE MAIN REASON OBAMA WANTED BIDEN? TO SEND TROOPS TO HIS BELOBED MOTHER AFRICA? AFTER ALL, HE SAID HED STOP THE FIGHTING IN DAFUR!!)
In 2002, he said that America had no choice but to eliminate Saddam Hussein.
If the Democrats think were going to be able to nominate someone who can win without that person being able to table unimpeachable credentials on national security and foreign policy, I think were making a tragic mistake.
I think he can be ready, but right now I dont believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.
Biden replied, John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against John McCain...
One of Bidens sons, Hunter, is a registered Washington lobbyist...Republican insiders say the party is likely to make an issue of Bidens family lobbying ties.

Bring on the popcorn!
.
Awesome! Kudos to Team McCain for getting that out so quickly.
Foreign Policy. Geez...It’s the economy stupid..:) Now McCain can grab a “blue collar” VP who actually has real teeth and is an economic expert who is not a Washington Insider. Excellent
What? An old white guy?...
LOL! Why are we awake and talking about this? LOL.
A “typical” old white guy. I fixed it for you. ;)
Stick a fork in their azz...LOL!

“Supporters were promised that they would be the first to know via text message and email.”
