What is the New Age Movement? What is secular humanism? What influence do they have on Americas society and public schools? Are they making our society and public schools better or worse? What kind of following do they have? Who are their leaders? It is my purpose to answer these questions and many more as they relate to the effects of the New Age Movement and secular humanism in Americas society and public schools. Hopefully, those who read this article will become enlightened as I did to the realization that America is rapidly becoming a New Age nation.

The main original point of this author seems to be his conflation of “New Age” and “secular humanist.” I’m not sure what this ads to an evaluation of the decline of government education in the United States. Even if one wished to identify “secular humanism” as the key philosophical influence behind all the myriad counterproductive decisions made in our government educational systems - sure, it can be argued - I don’t see how throwing “New Age” on top strengthens the argument.

I think they are, too. At least when they’re used in declared wars. But that’s kind of beside the point. I meant that government programs have always performed at a lower level than what the same program can do in the private sector.
I agree with you, really. One could even make a case that a private force for killing people and blowing things up would be more effective and efficient at those tasks than the Marine Corps.
