It’s official: we do not favor the hysteria surrounding the Olsen twins. While Elle and Harper’s Bazaar proclaim one of the twins - Mary Kate as a style icon, we here at The Fashion Time consider her hippie-drippy style weird and ridiculous.
The first thing you should know about Mary Kate – she loves full length dresses and skirts. Maxi never looks good on short women. She loves belts which make her waist appear too skinny, and cause her to look like a victim of anorexia. She loves fur and is always criticized by PETA. She loves weird vintage pieces and when she wears them, people think she’s stolen her outfit from her grandmother’s closet.

I actually clicked on this thread because I like the hippie-look. Ms. Olsen’s look is simply awful.
Yeah, I kind of like the hippy look, too. But hers is slightly off. Maybe she’ll refine it. Either way, we all wore odd things in our early 20s, and I hope she has fun doing the changing looks thing.

Her clothes are her decision. But, I wish she would work on her posture.
Yes they should and they do. What people happen to think of them is another story. They wear it which is their right and people comment on it which is their right. There is no comparison to what she is wearing on her person and what the band is on her head to the beautiful, simplicity of the look the young woman in the black dress. None at all.
Really, having your picture taken looking like a chihuahua is just not cool.

I’ve always thought the Olsen twins were pretty creepy looking.
When you’ve got as much money as the Olsens, you can laugh right back at people.
Mr. Blackwell can retire the trophy. She takes the lifetime achievement award. She may be the first to take all ten spots on the ten worst dressed list.

The resemblance was even stronger when they were younger.
Frankly, I wouldn't walk across the street to spit on either of the Olsen twins if they were on fire. But anything that chafes PETA is a good thing.
