American Conservative Daily has officially ceased the publication of columns by Mr. Swank. I wish to apologize to our readers for the way that some of his posts degraded and became so far away from what we had originally hoped they would. I of course take full responsibility for Mr. Swank’s columns appearing on this site since I was the one that made the decision to syndicate him originally.
The fact is however that for every reasonable post by Mr. Swank, there were three that were completely out of character with what we want to promote, that degenerated into insanity and we did not want to be put in a position where either myself or the staff are going to have to defend those that were unreasonable.

not sure, but someone (a newbie) is dumping a lot of his articles here today.
Not to defend Mr. Swank, but in the Bible, Jesus was thought by the religious leaders of His day to be nuts, even demon-posessed.
Even so, when someone who claims to be Christian suddenly starts spouting off things that make them seem that they’ve become unhinged, it’s a bad reflection on all Christians.
Maybe that is because it is normal for nuts and the demon possessed to believe they speak for God. IE, Jesus was the exception to the rule.

Indeed we did. He would post the most bizzare of vanity threads and would refuse to debate what he had posted. He claimed to be the pastor of a church, but I think it was merely a home church. IIRC he was defrocked from some denominational church.
He disappeared from the site. I don't know if he was banned or just stopped posting. IIRC he did post about 4 or 5 vanity posts a day for a long time.
I think his FReeper handle is “johnstown.” He posted a thread yesterday that compared Hitler to Obama, and it got a little heated. He more or less spilled the beans that he was Grant Swank.

I doubt it is Johnstown. He has been posting some articles by Swank, but on another thread, he referred to Swank in the third person, thus implying that he was not Swank. If he is Swank, but he is posting his articles implying he is not by his discussing Swank in the third person is a major deception (ie lie) and extremely unChristian.
