Re-Create 68 Vows Bloodbath At Democratic Convention
Elective Decisions ^ | July 5, 2008 | Chris Davis

Denver—With a recent move to relegate peaceful protestors beneath the Denver homeless population, Re-create 68 has now vowed that there will indeed be “a bloodbath” at the Democratic National Convention should they try to keep them fenced in.

The American Civil Liberties Union and several advocacy groups have filed an amended complaint to their lawsuit, stating that their First Amendment rights have been violated by security restrictions.

“What the hell do they think we are? Barnyard animals,” asked Tom Mestnik, a member of The Re-create ’68 Alliance, an umbrella group organizing the protesters. “They’re giving the homeless a free pass while we’re being shoveled away like excrement! If they want dissent, we’ll give them a Boston Tea Party they’ll never forget!”

Like it or not, the 1968 convention brought us to where we are today. The war between government and its citizens was on. The Chicago 7 became household names with a stupid judiciary doing its best to egg them on.

It will take conservative activists to turn it around. Not bloody likely they’ll give up the comfort of 401k’s to ruffle the feathers of the politicians who take them for granted.

They’ll spend us into destruction with the left cheering them on all the while.

Satire, o.k.; but, these folks really are fired up and especially now with B. Hussein flip-flopping on the FISA bill and on the Iraq War...... Then, throw in Hillary’s gals who are pissed to the max and, hey, it could get really, really ugly in Denver.

PLEASE GOD; LET IT BE SO.

A revolution isn't required. Hounding the hell out of politicians everywhere they go might get their attention. When they are in Washington, they are guarded by the sock puppets in their offices and really don't care what you think.

1968 worked.

Great piece, but uh..... sure seems real to me. Indeed, leftie satire by a writer with a normal brain is bound to fall short of genuine Left outrageousness.

I saw Chicago `68 on TV at the time and could never figure out why the lefties attacked the party most likely to give them at least some of their whacko demands anyway. That year the Republican convention in Miami heard hardly a hiccup from the crazies, even while their soon to be archenemey “the hellish Nixon” was being nominated.

Any idea why this is so?

Marx said (somewhat paraphrased):”History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.” So we shall see if his observation proves true when it comes to the actions of his ideological descendants, Re-Create 68.
