Im back and I have had enough of the Democrats (Communists), Obama, and their mouthpiece, the mainstream media. The high cost of oil, gasoline, and natural gas can be laid squarely in the lap of the Democratic Party (the Communists). They have repeatedly grilled the top CEOs of the largest oil companies in America attempting to blame them for setting the price of oil and gas. Threatening a windfall profits tax (someone explain what a windfall profit is) to taking over the industry. This is the usual tactic of guilty people to deflect attention away from them. They know nothing about economics or the industry, but they successfully manage to illustrate their ignorance. By doing this, they count on your ignorance. We are the ONLY country on the planet restricting access to our own resources, which will result in economic suicide. If you want someone to blame, look to the Democratic Party and the environmental groups who have put us in this situation.
John Peterson of my home state of Pennsylvania sponsored a bill to lift the band on offshore drilling had the votes to get it passed, but who removed it, DEMOCRATS!!!! I am going to continue to drive this home until you get tired of it, and then I will start again. Even when 67 percent of America wants drilling to start, and start now, who stops it? DEMOCRATS.
Here are three more anti-Americans to blame. These three set environmental policy and have a stranglehold over Democrats. They are Jon Flicker of the National Audubon Society, Frances Beinecke of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Trip Van Noppen of the organization Earthjustice. Three enemies within, and three powerful people who stand in the way of our own oil and natural gas. I suggest you give them a call and let them know theyre done screwing with this country. You can contact John Flicker at 212-979-3000, Frances Beinecke at 212-727-2700, and Von Noppen at 510-550-6700. Dont be jerks, be passionate about how you feel and make them understand you will do everything possible to stop their destruction of our country.
WHO are no doubt DEMOCRATS(communists/socialists)..
leftists sukk
I only wish for America to lose a war, how dare you question my patriotism!
I only wish for high oil and gas prices to line up every America’s enemy pockets, how dare you question my patriotism!
I only wish a total government control over American people’s lives, how dare you question my patriotism!
I only wish to allow illegals’ votes to be counted, how dare you... the list just goes on.
We need to spread the word, to make sure every American understands that NONE of the Problems America faces are the responsibility of Republicans. Every problem of America today has been caused by Democrats. Carter, Clinton, Pelosi, Obama, those are the leaders of the Communistic Democrat Party that is ruining America. Republicans are Not Responsible.
Does the sticker page fit a standard avery label what number?
Windfall profit is like many others, a term or word that has been bastardized by the liberal dims.
The term originates from the description of ripe fruit falling from the tree due to wind...therefore it doesn't have to be "picked".
Oil companies risk/invest enormous sums of money to find oil with the intent of selling it for more than it cost them to acquire it.
Oil company profits are not "windfalls."
When an uncle you don't know dies and leaves you a fortune, that's a windfall.
When you bend over to tie your shoe and find that you are standing on a $100 bill, that's a windfall.
If Tiger Wood gets a $10 million dollar endorsement because he has won 65 PGA tournaments, that's not a windfall.
Speaking of fruit, when Apple sells 6,000,000 iPhones for $2.4 Billion, that is NOT a windfall.
Now if you get the nomination for the highest office in the land from a major political party for chanting "change","hope" and "yes we can" a few thousand times...THAT's a windfall.
If the GOP doesn’t beat the Dems over the head with this one they are even more stupid than I imagined. This gives them a chance to stand up for Conservative values. Let’s see if they can cowboy up. I pray they can.
Great post.
Rock on!
Did you all hear that whining shrew Maxine Waters (D, Ca) threatening to nationalize the oil industry? Their profits aren’t out of line as a percentage of sales. Morons who don’t understand the basics of capitalism or anything else like to throw around things like “$40 billion profit” so that they can get people nice and angry, without regard for the fact that their total sales were about 400 or 500 billion..
Who to Blame?
Pick a problem, and you’ll find a liberal policy has either caused it or made it worse.
There is no exception.
We need to find a prosecutor or lawyer to file a RICO suit against the National Audubon Society, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Earthjustice for the damage they have caused the country as well as a class action suit for reparations to all of us who have lost money because of the high cost of energy that these organizations have promoted.
Is there a lawyer in the house?
We are an oil poor country, trying to act like a major oil producer - the US has 2-3% of the worlds oil, but we consume 30% of the world oil output.
Even if we up domestic output by tapping Alaska and the Gulf Coast we can only add enough production to reduce our imports by a few percent, meanwhile we will be importing increasing amounts of the oil we use:
for which we will be paying international market prices - for *both* foreign and domestic oil - prices set in a world which is going to be in a permanent and likely increasing state of under-supply.
So it's worse than pointless to pretend otherwise - every day we spend believing that we can drill our way out of this mess is a day later we start on implementing *real* solutions.
Obamarhoid has said "we must end dependence on foreign oil." Politicians have been saying the exact same thing when they campaign since before Jimmuh Cawtuh's time. The "end dependence on foreign oil" mantra has been chanted since the early '70s at the very least. Where are we now?
It's tough to implement a *real* solution when no one can put a specific name to one.
Its not that hard to imagine a more rational energy policy, whats hard is imagining a way to sell it to the voters its so much pleasanter to assume that there must be a quick fix that solves the problem without personal inconvenience.
When you come up with something specific let me know.
