Well, no.
But it makes a good story, and is designed to appeal to Jews.
His mother was an only child, so Obama has no American uncles. His uncles on his fathers side (the ones from Kenya), if they participated in WW2, did not go to Europe.
...
So what we appear to have is something thats commonly known as resume inflation. And thats what you get when you have a man who has no real experience. When what you have is an empty suit who is trying to pretend that there is substance there.
But what was the point of the fable? The point was really to try to connect with the American people by telling them how callous the government is about the emotional problems of its soldiers. The uncle is supposed to have spent six months in the attic, having experienced the sights he encountered in the liberation of Ohrdruf, an experience that may have lasted less than three hours.
The punch line is that Obama will make sure that Americas fighting men and will get all the mental care they deserve.
Thats it. Thats the punch line. Thats the reason for the fable. Thats what American fighting men are good for: a story line for a health care pitch. And the combat vet is cast in the eternal role that the Liberals have created for him: the crazy uncle in the attic.

While too many Jews are liberal Dem voters, even the dumbest knows that the stuff Obama is babbling about Auschwitz and his family is total rubbish.
So much for the Harvard education.. this idiot believes that the U.S. Freed the prisoners at auschwitz.... and then to lie about it .... every Jew that had a relative killed at auschwitz should be outraged that a poltician would attempt to use their grief as leverage in a campaign... this is disgusting.... just like a typical.... Obama...
I have a talking, flying dog who saved the universe.
[oh...um...no...wait...that was “Underdog”]
They say that it was a family story, that the uncle was a great uncle whom Obama called uncle, and that he participated in the liberation of a subcamp of Buchenwald, not Auchscwitz. Worse than misspelling potato, but not a big deal.
I once saved a drink from falling off the table. True story.
He is an empty suit with maroons writing his campaign material. HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT!!!!!
It was his great-uncle at Buchenwald... Candy Crowly reported with a chuckle last night on CNN. Just a simple error... fluffed up by those nasty, right-wing blogs.
This clown intends to be POTUS and to inherit the most powerful position in this planet.
This matters.
He is a BUFFOON and an arrant LIAR, a willfully PERJURED INDIVIDUAL who will say anything to anybody to get what he wants. Just like HillBilly does.
He has no business anywhere near the Oval Office, except as a tourist. And even then he ought to be frisked thoroughly then waterboarded first, just in case he is carrying any IEDs or has any aspirations of martyrdom.
Heck, he isn't qualified to be Senator, that didn't stop folks from electing him.
*gasp!!*
You are like unto an all-powerful Greek god!
LOL!
Yes, just a few little errors ... but the punch line was not so much about his “uncle's” wartime exploits but his mental problems. He was using his uncle to make the claim that America does not care about its veterans. He made his “uncle” the crazy vet in the attic.
The rest of the story is even more revealing: The “crazy vet” in the attic.
In other words, lies from beginning to end.
To quote the article -
The punch line is that Obama will make sure that Americas fighting men and will get all the mental care they deserve.
Thats it. Thats the punch line. Thats the reason for the fable. Thats what American fighting men are good for: a story line for a health care pitch. And the combat vet is cast in the eternal role that the Liberals have created for him: the crazy uncle in the attic.
Was it falling, or was it pushed? Hmmmmmmm?
If true... another gaffe on Obama's part. The correct diagnosis for his uncles behavior would have been... PTSD. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Then again... maybe Barry thinks that every soldier returning home from war is a nut-case.
I’ll have to review the tape. There may have been a second hand.
Let’s face it... Obama thinks the servicemembers are crazy for even volunteering in the first place.
Maybe it really wasn't a blood relative/uncle, but more like The Rev Wright, whom he considered an uncle.
[It is curious that Obama manages to pull relatives — from his mother's side, the white side — out from under the bus, when he needs them, usually to on issues related to war, military service, patriotism.]
