Liberal response to question about releasing some of our own land for oil and drilling
Psychotic Underground | 5/23/08 | class2068

For the strong of stomach, here is the link to a thread begun with a question about who will take the blame this November if/when auto gas is near $7 a gallon. Rather than argue with the poster, the forum members engage in over-the-top personal attacks and then ban the poster from the forum. The vile language and cretinous attacks tell volumes about Obama voters.

Look at this DU moron:

"46. How about we nationlaize all oil companies and take priofit out of the game? I'd favor that over drilling in ANWAR."

Yeah, take the profit out which is what goes back into R&D which goes into new technology and into salaries of educated Americans.

I hope that poster was just a kid.

not having read the article ...... get that out of the way upfront.

I would bet that poster was college professor in either humanities, or women studies.

I am posting without reading article because I detest DU for it’s abuse of the intelligent discourse.

Probably a male professor of women studies.

I glanced, looks like they locked the thread, and booted some people?

Kind of hard to follow threads like that though.

Or Maxine Waters.

Even Democrats will tire of skipping meals to pay for enough gas to carry them and their food stamps to the liquor store. The little Socialist Nazis won’t want to suffer while wind generators are built to get them out of the dark. Leftist kookery is popular now, but ANWR, the coast of California, the Gulf and shale oil are going to start looking like lost liberal causes when Socialist Nazis don’t have enough gas to get their cars out of their driveways. Meanwhile, this right-wing, global warming denier is going to make biodiesel and burn wood. I’ll hunt wild game, fish and grow a garden, and in the evenings I’ll read my King James bible, and pray that all those Democrats living in cities don’t get too hungry. Bring on all the wacko, leftist buffoonery. My family can take it.

“46. How about we nationlaize all oil companies and take priofit out of the game? I’d favor that over drilling in ANWAR.”

So it’s OK to drill if there’s no profit. So much for the bull about protecting pristine nature....

Actually, I think the thread starter was a Dem making a reasoned argument. If the Dems want to win in Nov, their current arguments aren’t working. It’ll be interesting to see the polling on who’s to blame.

If the Republicans were smart, a really big IF, they’d be hitting the Dems hard on this issue everyday.

The threads on FR are much more intelligent and witty. Hardly any name calling during disagreements.

You’re right. It just caught me funny. I don’t see why you even had to say it.

Occasionally some of our brethren use brute force debating techniques. Not often.

These used to be considered a perfectly viable source of (lamp) fuel...

...If oil companies were smart, they'd initiate a push to bring back whaling as an untapped oil source, then offer to give it up and compromise with the enviros, *settling* for just ANWR and offshore drilling.

I have a friend that has been an envirowacko for 20 yrs when it comes to the enviroment and pollution.
I was speaking with him yesterday, he told me that we should be drilling offshore, and in ANWR. I almost had heart attack, he has finally seen the light.

In addition he has favored Kyoto treaty for at least the last 10 yrs.

He told me in conversation that Kyoto treaty was designed to destroy the US econopmy.

If my friend can see the light, I do believe there are other out in America that are also seeing liberals and their policies for what they truly are.
