The United States Senate rejected a Republican proposal to open one-hundredth of one-percent of the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) for oil exploration. Fifty Democrats were joined by a half-dozen Republican senators in the 56 to 42 vote against the measure.
Preserving the frigid sterility of this wilderness must take precedence over a scheme to feed Americans gluttony for energy, asserted Debbie Dullerd of the Alaska Wilderness League. She characterized the need for fuel as temporary. The human species wont last forever, Dullerd declared. It makes no sense to place its interests ahead of the rest of the planet.
If gasoline costs too much, people can carpool, ride transit or stay home, she continued. Weve raped mother nature long enough. Now, its humanitys turn.

It’s humanity’s turn to be raped by the eco-freaks.
Anyone who thinks that the planet should come first should lead by example and commit suicide.
That tears it! I’m selling my car!
And yes I know it’s satire, but that part is true.
Nice one, John.
It’s Rainbow Six time.
OK, Ms. green jeans, we'll put you at the head of the line and send you on your way to eco-valhalla.
It gets worse.

It was never really about the polar bear. It has ALWAYS been about Communism and the destruction of the United States. It bothers me that we are just stupid enough to allow them to do it.
McQueeg considers ANWR “pristine”.
Compares it to the Grand Canyon, or other National treasures.
Maybe he should move his fat old ass to New England where staying warm in the winter is becoming a blood sport.
THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO VOTE CONSERVATIVE AND LOCAL TO EVENTUALLY GET THIS VILE SEED OUT OF THE PEOPLE'S SENATE.
Perhaps Americans should conserve considerable energy by refusing to ship food to Ms. Dullerd's table.
America is a land of Liberty and Capitalism. We'll meet the weak and wussie commies on the field of battle. No problem!
A new era of malaise may be dawning on America. This is a great time for those who yearn for an encore of the Carter era. Can’t we dig up the Gipper and put him back in the Oval Office?
And guess who's on the Alaska Wilderness League's Board of Directors...
The little appeaser,himself.
At current prices I’m considering alternate means of transportation.

They are royalty.
There’s your reason for the high oil prices. Get these bastards out of office.
If every senator got thousands upon thousands of phone calls and emails requesting that we drill for our own oil, I bet they would reconsider.
