California Court Legalizes Same-Sex "Marriage"
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | 17 May 2008 | John Semmens

In a 4-3 decision, the California Supreme Court declared same-sex "marriage" legal in the state. The Court’s ruling came in a case filed by gay couples who were married at San Francisco City Hall in 2004, when Mayor Gavin Newsom (D) was issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The decision overturns a 2000 voter-approved measure that declared marriage to be a union between a man and a woman.

In the decision, Chief Justice Ron George wrote “The notion that a marriage can only be between a man and woman is outmoded. Times change. Our laws must change with them.”

The opinion also cited a University of California demographic study that forecast a majority homosexual state population by the year 2033. “Inasmuch as research indicates that a majority of the state’s population will eventually be homosexual, it seems prudent that we accommodate this emerging majority by granting them the full rights of citizenship now.” George wrote. “To not do so would establish a precedent that would permit this homosexual majority to outlaw heterosexual marriage.”

The notion that Judges can't be turned into bio-fuel is outmoded. Times change. Our laws must change with them. Corn shortage, ya know.

Times change. Our laws must change with them.

So the chief justice admits he was engaged in changing law, that is, making law, rather than interpreting it. Apparently one guy trumps the Legislature and the People.

“Times change. Our laws must change with them.”

which really means ‘our morals must change with the time’.. a concept I’ve always abhorred... what does the number of the year have to do with morality? Either something is moral or it isn’t.. if “morals” change with the years, then they aren’t morals, they are just opinions. I don’t remember who said it.. but its accurate.. “Right is always right even if no one does it, and wrong is always wrong even if everyone is doing it.”

This article is satire, but that is probably what they were thinking.

The article is satirical, and a spoof.

The quotes are outrageous sendups.

Especially Ahnuld's.
