A kahr is probably only good against a threat that is not wielding a firearm. But that's all i really need. I'm not expecting to fight off an army. I just need a little bit of a “persuader” to convince the dirtbag he'd rather be somewhere else.

I have a friend who can hit with his Kahr at unbelievable distances. Sixty yards at claybirds laying on a dirt bank are no problem. He’s downright scary with a Freedom Arms .454.
My son found out that the lead bullets I have been using for years just aren’t that good. That’s the difference I noticed with my friend. He casts his own on a MasterCaster and he’s picky about the bullets he makes. I noticed my hits are easier to make when I borrow his stuff.

I can’t hit a thing with it past 15 feet. The trigger just does not agree with me. I’ve got the PM9 model, which is the smallest lightest one they make, and that probably doesn’t help. But I’ve let other people shoot it and they seem to do OK with it. I think maybe my trigger finger is just too fat for the tiny trigger and cramped space inside the trigger guard. Whenever I shoot it, I get a blister on my trigger finger where my trigger finger drags across the trigger guard when I pull the trigger.

Holy cow ... the “About GOC” link on that website is hilarious. Have marked the site as a favorite so that I can return with more time. Thanks.

The operative word is HE. I have seen a vietnam experienced sniper dance a coke can at 100 meters with a Beretta M92S 9mm. The gun can often do things it's not ordinarily capable of in the right hands. The question is how available is that "capability" to a mere mortal when the chips are down?

I saw one movie where the hyper trapped bad guy pumped his shotgun three times... without firing a shot. Hollywood is a poor source for proper firearms instruction.
