Socialism; say Yes or No

The time has come for America to make a choice. The arch enemy of Socialism is Individual Rights. The 08 election has become a referendum that will determine which path America will take. As the primary issues are presented IE immigration, economy or the wars that are currently taking place, everyone wants to discuss the stance each candidate will take. The media will parse the words and regurgitate them in light of “how” the candidate has either voted or expressed himself on related issues. They might draw a line indicating that on “XYZ” issue the candidate is conservative or liberal but that’s as far as it goes. At no time are issues framed to reflect candidate’s response to individual rights VS communal rights. This is THE primary issue and the pabulum the media spews avoids even the words that describe it.

The government is not in place to guard “our” rights as Americans. Either we guard them or they go away as the government wants to absorb them more than “We the People” seem to. The First Amendment, the Right to Free Speech has been challenged to the point of mockery by Atheist groups, advocates for same sex marriage and flag burners etc. While judges occupy their time and energy with such nonsense, the Christian’s rights, as well as other groups have become severely curtailed. IE; High School students are told what they can and can’t say in a graduating address. Homeowners associations are busy telling us what is and isn’t permissible to do with OUR homes, which of OUR trees can and can’t be cut etc. The Federal and State confiscatory tax burden has become oppressive and been used to fund a social engineering agenda. In essence, the “right” to be an antonymous individual is becoming less and less valid. Every aspect of life has become controlled by some presiding authority. This election is THE tool our forefathers left us to reverse the trend.

This is not the Nation we inherited from our parent’s generation and it should not be the legacy we leave to our kids. The enemies of Freedom are everywhere. Their job is to usurp individual rights. To date, we, the Baby Boomers, have allowed it. How much further will we go with it? The antithesis of Socialism IS Individual rights. This includes the right to be left alone, unobserved, unburdened and independent. As we select a candidate in the 08 election, the choice is clear; the unbridled imposition of the nanny State or reclaiming our individual rights. How this takes place starts with the willingness to fight for what we believe as our forefathers were willing to do.

Ok, so what are you going to vote 3rd Party and put the SOCIALIST in??

A vote for Obama is a vote for a socialist.
A vote for McCain is a vote for a socialist.

A vote for Alan Keyes is a vote for Reagan Conservatism.

1) The hallmark of socialism is collective ownership. There’s no collective ownership. It’s not socialism at all. Not even a little bit. There may be some elitism, but as you know, that’s fine with me. I don’t want crappy lawns and I don’t want to see my neighbor’s Camaro up on blocks in the driveway. If I want to live in a development where none of my neighbors want crappy lawns or to put their Camaro up on blocks, what’s wrong with that? No one made anyone buy a house in my neighborhood, and they are free to move any time they’d like. We’re just a collection of folks that like to see nice lawns.

Collective ownership:   check...   the HOA can place leans on you.

For most covenants there are duplicated town city county or state laws.   It is a matter of a group of  people wanting to impose their quicker civil justice upon the "commune"

It is communal living.    You sir live in an Ashram.   Granted, the lawns look nice and your internal gestapo keep it that way, but you are little more than a stepford wife my FRiend.

So can a bank. Or a car dealership. Or Sears. Are they socialist?

Yeah....see, that's what societies do. They form governments that pass laws that reflect the will of the people. If you don't like the laws, you're free to leave.
