Daniel Finkelstein of Londons The Times has Oprah #9 on a list of 10 potential VIP candidates. He has Hillary in the #1 slot...

He’s a Brit and knows nothing of our politics. Hillary will never take 2nd fiddle to Obama. Besides, he’d never want a schemer like the beast always looking to wrest power from the POTUS.
>Hillary will never take 2nd fiddle to Obama.
Sure will.
In a NY minute, in fact.
Thats what all of this hanging in there is really all about.
That and maybe getting some help with her now massive debt.
Sure why not take the VP spot, what does she have to lose, I mean anything could happen and then she (w)could be president.
I sincerely doubt it. I think she's going to push for a Clinton/Obama ticket rather than an Obama/Clinton ticket. That would make far more sense, leaving Obama in the perfect position to be prez after her 8 years are done.
I doubt Hillary after dirtying up Obama is #1 on his list. And I also doubt Oprah would take a pay cut and give up her kingdom to become VP.
Obama would be crazy or a fool to pick Hillary as a running mate. What he needs is someone who can deliver the white male vote. Hillary can’t do that. Of course, I’m still not sure that Obama is the nominee. I won’t be convinced of that until the convention is over, and it hasn’t even begun yet.
Oprah has more adulation, public worship than most anyone and God knows, money. She's got her own media empire beholden only to herself. And then she's got the Oprah channel set to launch. FUGHETABOUIT.
And Obama would never risk his shot at the Presidency with some untried electoral gimmickry.
I’d like to see Obama put Sharpton on the ticket, he’s available - although, he owns a lot of back taxes (workers comp, etc.). If you think about it, how can Obama select a white person when so many blacks are also qualified? He needs to follow affirmative action guidelines on this, perhaps Jesse?
Not that I would vote for such a ticket, but an all black ticket would seem to be aligned with democrat values and support for the black community. I say, go for it!
Thinking Obama might pick the Texas?? dude...the one Bubba called a traitor.
If your thinking of Richardson, he is from New Mexico.
Is your response in some sort of code? It seems nonsensical, but may not be.
Oprah? She is NOT the person to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.
Obama would be wise to choose a person of a different race than his own.
Yes, I can “really” imagine Oprah being the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces in the absence of President Obama.
I suspect it will be Gov Strickland of Ohio.
Hillary is smart enough to know that Obama may still end up losing in the general election, which will also damage the political reputation of the final Democratic VP choice.
Strickland is seemingly a good choice, but his Attorney General is aflame and the Governor is, some say, a flamer.
Is he actually all that popular in Ohio??
YUp...That’s who I’m thinking of...Richardson
