The Democrats' Poison-Pill Plan for the Military

Let's say you're a young person working for a large, well respected corporation with a very pronounced global presence and an acute need for an increased workforce. Your job is difficult, but also very personally fulfilling. Despite the fact that you love your job, you find yourself thinking about moving on. Sensing this, your boss comes to you and says:

"I hear you're thinking about quitting. We really value your work and we need you to stay. It's hard to find qualified employees like yourself so we'd definitely like it if you stayed on. But, just so you're aware, if you do decide to quit and pursue another career, we will gladly continue to pay you at close to your current salary for the next three years. We'll only pay you this money if you quit, though."

Hmmm... Tough decision, right? Not really. You'd take the money and run, laughing all the way to the bank.

The casual observer might note that this corporation is not very well run. Some might even suggest that in giving their employees a lucrative motivation for leaving, this corporation will inevitably make their personnel shortage dramatically worse.

Well, my friends, I give you the Democrat plan for running the Department of Defense.

I don't normally watch O’Reilly but I did last night ... McPain makes me ill. Sanctuary cities. Believes in “global warming”. Against water boarding. Wants guest worker visas for ILLEGALS. Wants all to have a 5K credit for health care - geesh - people can't even get a house they can afford - I'm real sure these dopes will be great at shopping around for health care. LOL! McPain lives in a dream world. He's a rational persons worst nightmare for a Republican.

But what I really fear is that the inevitable result of this bill, dramatic losses in retention, is something the left secretly embraces.

Secretly? Surely this guy is being sarcastic with this sentence. They figure they can end the war, and all wars, if there is no one to fight them - at least on America's side. Added to that they can say they really love the military and that anyone who opposes it doesn't. Democrats = evil.

I’m suppose to vote for McCain because of what democrats will do?! Give me a break. Democrats win on most issues with a McCain presidency.

Our party has been severly damaged by the failures of the republican congress and Bush presidency. We need to retool, even if it costs us the executive temporarily.

Our side needs to get a conservative message out. Sadly we have few conservative leaders that do it. When repubs were in power, the dems were complaining loudly on a daily basis. Now that they are in the majority, all is quiet.

All that can be accomplished with a McCain win is to slow the tidal wave of liberalism that is crashing down on us. That is a sad way to define success.

If the only differences between McCain and the demonrat is war, judges, taxes, and military then it is a no-brainer.

If any one of those items was the only difference, it would still be a no-brainer.

I agree with all of your points, but as a military family, I believe that we have no other choice, but to keep the Dems out. We're screwed anyway that you look at it.

I would say if we lose the executive this time we will never get it back but that is just as true if we win it this time with McCain. The critical issue is amnesty and the many millions of new Democrats of a particularly socialist bent that will be thus installed in the body politic.
