This season we have a new alternative for bikinis. Many designers have been inspired by the 1950’s style of bathing suits, and now, one-piece swimwear is making a comeback this summer. From bandeau-shaped to great sporty styles, these swimsuits embody old world Hollywood glamour.

I know it and they are IT for glamour!!!
Fresh out of the sultry styles worn by Hayworth, Grable, Stanwyck and Joan Crawford!
These sexy items show enough yet cover enough to show off a fairly good figure but omit the almost totally nude look of today's bikini's.
Saw an old Bond movie where Ursula and others were vamping around in their bikinis.
They were considered "revealing" and even "shocking" to many but today, young and not so young women would consider them a joke.
One can't even purchase underwear which cover that much, let alone a swim suit.

Notice, the ladies on the photo on the right mostly have bosoms, while the one on the right has none.
The ultra skinny look was always less than stylish and usually camouflaged while more developed women looked great.

Notice, the ladies on the photo on the right mostly have bosoms, while the one on the right has none. Fashion designers realize that clothes are on clothes hangers when they are picked out and purchased and they spend most of their lives on clothes hangers. Thus they pick models who look the most like those clothes hangers - skinny and almost no curves.

The fashion models paraded before our eyes look more like 14 year old boys than women. To me, reality is the Lane Bryant catalog stripped of all make-up and hairstyling.
Who wants death on a cracker when you can have a full course meal and someone to help you do the dishes after?
