This season we have a new alternative for bikinis. Many designers have been inspired by the 1950’s style of bathing suits, and now, one-piece swimwear is making a comeback this summer. From bandeau-shaped to great sporty styles, these swimsuits embody old world Hollywood glamour.

I think this is just a concession to the aging and fatening of the usa. No matter how they slice it, a fat woman in a bathing suit is going to be a fat woman in a bathing suit. No amount of stripes, dark patterns, or any trickery will diminsh that.

The women in the black and white picture above are fit that is why the suits are flattering. not the other way around.

No. I took Wagner's term for the Norse twilight of the gods (Götterdämmerung) about the final battle at the end of the world and changed it to the Twilight of the 'Rats.

Notice, the ladies on the photo on the right mostly have bosoms, while the one on the right has none.

The bathing suits on the right have padding in the bosom (think padded bra), while the one on the left does not.

It must be a 50's thing. My mom stood on her toes whenever a camera was raised. When she was at the beach, the legs were slightly crossed at the calf and the head tilted back along with a big smile. I guess what some would call the "Cheesecake Shot".........Those black rimmed cat-woman sunglasses were big too. She secretly told us that it was so she could watch men without being trashy.

Women can be so classy with so little effort. Somewhere us men lost the genetic trait. I think Cary Grant was it's last genetic carrier for us XY bunch.
