You couldn't have missed it, if you tried. There were TV specials on National Geographic, CNN, the History Channel and the Discovery Channel, among many others. Oprah commemorated the event and every newscast seemingly reminded viewers of the day's significance.

I missed it. Saw it mentioned on one of my calendars and that was pretty much it. I miss most Earth Days.

I usually don't notice either but this year, retailers were plugging it, Macy's had some kind of green weekend, went I was shopping I noticed they were selling propaganda t-shirts reading go green etc. BARF!!
