UPDATE: Friday April 18
The "Sixteen year old girl." A hoax???
I am SPITTING mad. Texas authorities better have those children back in their mothers arms by tonight.
"A 33-year-old Colorado Springs woman has been questioned about a telephone call that sparked a raid at the polygamist Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints compound in western Texas two weeks ago.
Rozita Swinton was arrested at her home Wednesday night by Colorado Springs police for an incident that occurred in February. Members of the Texas Rangers were also in Colorado Springs as part of their investigation.
"The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs (Wednesday) as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas. They left and have not filed any charges on Rozita Swinton as of this time," said Colorado Springs police spokesman Lt. Skip Arms.
Colorado Springs police said the arrest warrant has been sealed and refused to release any other details, reported Deseret News."

I'm game.
Considering that all I'm defending is the Constitutional rights of American citizens and you are defending another government agency that's gone off half-cocked.
Good post.
Did you see the women from the compound interviewed on tv? If the kids are like the women something is very wrong and they need help.
“I’ll ask again. Is there any evidence that anyone there abused children other than the hoax phone call?”
We are 15 days into this and you are demanding that I post the evidence that is only now being collected and investigated, the state has not even identified the people yet.
Since these people were each handpicked for this compound by Warren Jeffs because they were the most fiercely loyal and unlikely to betray the cult, and since many of the children were shipped in from other branches and Canada with no identification or records, or parents, the process will take some time.
It is a nest of snakes that will take some unravelling, but at least the children are safe for now.
I saw them. I think they need help too.
But I'd rather it not be at the point of a gun during a raid based on false evidence.
Unless you'd like to see a bunch of Pentecostals treated the same way because their women dress in dresses and sneakers.
If the way that someone appears is sufficient reason to take their children then we have abandoned the Constitution and live at the whim of whoever decides what fashion is.
Certainly the religious aspect of it is perhaps what troubles me most—the very idea of giving your little girl to some drooling old man for a sex slave in the name of this or any other religion just turns my stomach. And the fact that they’re raised solely for that purpose...well, it just makes my blood boil.
Yes there is that. Of course in a civilized country one presumes that after four years of investigation that the state would have already identified the people.

Warren Jeffs is in jail. He wasn't at the Texas FLDS compound. I'm not sure why you keep fixating on someone that wasn't there. But it does explain why you are so eager to crucify these folks based on a prank call from someone that wasn't there either.

Safe from whom?
Which of the fLDS Constitutional Rights have been violated, when, and exactly how?
Can you be more specific, instead of attacking others?
You know.... People who take their religion to extremes are dangerous people.
People who hate religious people are dangerous too.
Maybe so, maybe no.
Considering that the sheriff had an informant on the inside for four years and DID NOTHING, but waited until this phone call was announced to the media makes me wonder.
On the Dr Phil tape it seems some of the law officers were members of this group!
****
Also if the young men also said they hung dry wall or other need work done at the age of ten it seem this group knew how to do what they needed among themselves. meaning men so they really did not need contractors from the outside world to come in an do things for them!
At least they would have a record of the contractor that gave the girl the cell phone to call the for help.
Another thing is cells phones are not easy to use for those not familar I am computer savy but still have a hard time figuring out those cell phones.
Also in our US State department is inflitraded with those who work there that are opposed to US policies, I imagine their are polygamist working in position in the outside world that alert and protect their opperation.
What does it mean that Jeff's photo was in every room? If you know why, please tell us.
Certainly the denial of the rights of Americans is perhaps what troubles me most-the very idea of giving your little girl to some foster home based on a prank phone call in the name of this or any other government just turns my stomach. And the fact that so many FReepers will just roll over and show their bellies to police while people's rights are violated with no evidence...well, it just makes my blood boil.
Hang in there. I have never seen so many individuals so willing to defend a bunch of perverts and child molesters.
All I can say is this forum is not the same as when I joined.
I read it all. You're the one who's lost control and gotten emotional over posted facts.
