I've actually had requests to write more on the Tibet issue, and after a couple of weeks of dead silence from world leaders, even the Catholic Church and various so-called human rights organizations like
Human Rights Watch who just this week decide to write an article "suggesting" that China allow inspectors into the country (I'm sure that Hu felt a sharp pain in his ass when HRW published their luke warm commentary).
The only real outrage is on the internet, like
Global Voices Online, where netizens in Korea and Japan talk about filling out petitions to boycott the Olympics.
In a surprising move, the usually weak willed, pussy ass continentals are openly discussing a
boycott of the Olympics (and that was started by French of all people, the same country that sold China Aegis-type radar). This is somewhat surprising as the Europeans are so eager to sell China advanced weapons so that China's peaceful rise can be accelerated by the conquest of SE Asia and permanent naval blockades of Korea and Japan before moving in to take Siberia's water, minerals and oil.
And who is still missing from this long list of defenders of human rights? That beacon of hope, that champion of liberty and justice for all, George W. Bush's America!
Of course it wouldn't be fair to lay all of the blame on Jorge, Truman ordered Chiang Kai Shek not to wipe out Mao in Manchuria (so we could fight him in Korea) and Nixon turned his back on both Taiwan AND Tibet, helping to remove the former from the UN and pulling our support of the freedom fighters in the latter just as they were getting the upper hand on the PLA.
And what did Nixon get for his troubles? Chinese food...and maybe a handy or a hummer from a whatever passed for a KTV girl back then (maybe a red opera actress?)
Reagan opened the doors for Chinese officials to swarm to the US and steal all of our secrets, Clinton gave away missile guidance and nuclear warhead technology and Dubya is letting China have at our "obsolete" stealth technology.
But behind each one of our traitorous el-presidentes, who were quick to smite the godless Soviets but just as eager to help the Fu-manchus lie our "intellectuals" and even worse, corporations and entrepreneurs who are so hell-bent on selling something to 1 billion people who live their entire lives hand to mouth they gladly move to "paradise" and endure rapid aging and a nearly complete loss of sanity, often marrying a sleeping dictionary in the process.
In the US, most of the "real" intellectuals can be spotted in university tweed, pussy footing about their ivory tower, completely oblivious to what China really represents, as long as they get to go on university paid junkets and loiter around CCP sponsored conferences, hoping that a local translator or PhD student will find their old ass and "love of China" attractive enough to go to bed with them.
Then there are the "China hands" who are given a hell of a lot more credit than they deserve. On the one hand they do have more real China experience than the academics, but on the other hand they are either rejects from back home or just in China to make money or both, so they won't say anything, even in private to the US gov't, that upsets their ability to stay in China and be "white gods". Even if these "white gods" smell of booze and body odor much of the time.
The most dangerous crowd are the executives, they live a gilded lifestyle and "China" is something they only have to tolerate between their posh office, posh villa and the next first class flight home.
What do they all have in common? Keeping mouths shut when China does bad things, like march its baby killers over the skulls of the enslaved and subjugated, or selling nukes to unfriendly countries.
Didja ever notice that since western companies have such a hard time accessing the middle east, it is perfectly OK to bash Islam and "fight for freedom" there, but since they find it easy to get into China, abuse the help and belch pollution, it is perfectly NOT OK to upset Beijing with petty details like human rights, pollution or claiming everyone's territory as China's own based on completely falsified ancient documents.
And it all comes to a head in Tibet. The bitches that run the IOC won't even mention boycotting the Olympics, though boycotting the USSR in 1980 was perfectly OK after Afganistan (only Coke and McDs were in the USSR at the time). The USOC is advising/threatening US athletes not to do anything that might "upset" their gracious Chinese hosts, not even if US athletes get sudden intestinal problems right before their competition against Chinese opponents.
The UK did the same until a restive public and big mouthed press forced a 180. Fortunately for the USOC, there is no independent press in the US anymore, it is all wholly or partially owned by big corporations who have big investments in China.
So when we look at China, we see a big, evil, ugly, smelly disgusting mess, mostly of its own creation. But we also see the worst in our own failed human rights institutions, our gutless, shit eating political leaders and our corporate traitors.
Thankfully, we can look back to the late 1920s and see that this has happened before and can be fairly certain of the outcome. But this time the Master Race has much bigger numbers, a much better land warfare game and a full NBC arsenal.
But what is saddest is that the population of Chinese, especially those living overseas, are so blindly proud of their polluted, social junkyard of a country that they venomously defend anything and everything that China does. Those living outside of China get to enjoy the fruits of the West's continual evolution and do everything they can to avoid going back to their so-called "motherland" and yet brazenly tout filthy China as "just as good" as the West and the "future leader" of the world.
If this is how China plans to lead the world, the human race is headed for extinction.
