HL Richardson and also Bob Dornan were great representatives and it seems long ago, now. Hunter is in that mold, but it seems like a dying breed. You know the thing about McCain that really gets me? I voted for him in the primary of 2000, then later read several articles about how, strangely, he had a record of voting against veterans’ issues...there was more, later on: he fought like a wildcat to stop any investigation of the Vietnam government concerning POWs who still might have been alive in captivity in Hanoi and/or elsewhere in NV. Was rude and insulting to the families who had tried for so long to get an investigation moving again when there was evidence of this. There is voluminous material on this and other things and if you click on Viet Vets against John McCain you will realize he would be even more dangerous than the witch ;or Obomba and would knock down any opposition.
No need to shout.
Thank you.
Uh, you do realize I’m being sarcastic, right? I thought the big, flashing, red all caps preceded and followed by exclamation points (not to mention the misspellings and improper punctuation) would be a dead give away.
Kiss his butt all you want. The facts remains.
Retired Army is right, exactly. And we have another year to go with this abortion of a “conservative Republican”
I know one thing, Bush’s example of a conservative is not what mine is. He meets none of the conservative examples I have been taught and have learned.
(oops)
Yes. I can see you’re advocating reason.
I have started to assume when I see shouting, it’s someone attacking McCain.
Obviously I should take a break, I’m actually a bit p*ssed off and the lack of even one clue, about what’s at stake in this election, by people I would expect more from.
Carry on.
If you mean FR, yes, 3 months. I’ll bet generally speaking, I’ve been around a lot longer than a lot of youse.
Look.
We can elect Duncan Hunter next time around.
I wanted him too.
It’s too late now. Now, we need to stand up to Democrats, the way Reagan stood up to Mr. Gorbachev, in front of that wall.
Because that’s exactly what’s at stake.
Except now, we’re not fighting for Europe.
We’re fighting for America.
No. Nor the Repub. debates , nor FAUX news. Last year I quit the sat dish, left the TV unplugged, and bought a sat radio system. What about the Demorat debate? John Fn Kerry redux?
More like:
“Si Se Puede!”
No, “Si Se Puede!”.
No, I’m more “Si Se Puede” than you are!
No! I am!
Me!
Me!
Good grief! You don’t really want Condi Rice for VP, do you? What exactly do you think she would add to the ticket?
Aw sh!t. His record deserves a barf alert.
Yes. I do.
Ms. Rice, was there when Mr. Reagan stood down, Mr. Gorbachev.
To Mr. Gorbachev’s astonishment.
Works for me...
Duncan Hunter? With McCain president, he*ll be in a re-education center with the rest of us. As for a wall, it’ll be the wall they’ll use to stand us up against to shoot us. You McCain defenders don’t realize that IF he’s elected, then our opposition to him, and that of the Reps in congress & the senate, will have little effect. With a demorat we can all fight. And you know, don’t you, that desperation and fear is an awful way to elect a president. I cannot vote for him, see my previous post. Not after what he did to those POW/MIA families. And all the rest—just as anti-American as Bush has been the last few years.
Senor, yo no habla Espanol/ I wait for Senor Juan McAmnesta to have the big Casa Blanca, then I can habla all I want to, si? Senor Juan Hernandez he will be Secretary of state.
You’re a “seminar caller” FReeper, is that it? You joined just months ago, to oppose John McCain?
Who would you have readers vote for?
Oh wait. Let me guess:
You’re a “long time Republican, who’s voting for Obama”...
While I am in no way supporting the idea, this is rank hyperbole. We have the exact same provisions on the state level in CA, and gun shows are doing fine. Flyers are posted and handed out when you buy tickets advising of the requirement that all sales be conducted through licensed dealers, who have booths set up on the premises for just that reason. If you find a gun you want to buy from a non-dealer you go to the booth and fill out the forms. Since there is a waiting period the dealer holds the gun for the required period, then you pick it up at the store. All private sales in CA are handled this way.
I hate the law, as it means an eventual de-facto gun registry. But claiming that it means the end of gun shows is false. Arguments against is should be made on the facts, not unsupported claims.
