Looks like Baghdad Bob has changed jobs. He couldn’t resisted China’s offer of an endless supply of Happy Meal toys.

As I understand it, after the hostilities break out between our nations, Chinese AWAC staff will retire after one mission, somewhere on the bottom of the Pacific.

All kidding aside, I still think we’re having a great time underestimating China’s growing capabilities.

Could they mop the floor with us? Of course not. Could they cost us a growing number of our troops? I believe so.

I am reminded of the CIA’s lack of prediction that the Iron Curtain would fall. I am reminded that our intelligence told us Hussein had WMDs. I am reminded that folks think China is not a threat.

It is becoming a threat.

Simple - just finish the F22’s with lead paint - the Chicoms will NEVER detect it.

“KJ2000 now completely overtake Russia’s A50 and Isreal’s Phalcon.” the meidas say. ==

Russian A-50 could do that years ago. Simple any meter band radar can do this easily.

200km is just no good.
This means the F22 can sneak up on their awacs plane and blow it out of the sky.

200km is MIGHTY close.....no time to do anything but say a few quick prayers.

Congrats to China on their new fleet of targets.

No...They can not.Keep in mind China NEVER tells what its capabilities are. When they do it is in an effort to LOOK like they can. Its their track record.

The way I see it, the Raptor is going to know exactly where the KJ2000 is (as well as any escorts the KJ2000 might have) long before the KJ2000 or those escorts know where the Raptor is, and the speed of the Raptor which can close at 11 miles per minute (minimum, may be faster) without using afterburner, and the AMRAAM which can close on its target at 35 miles per minute (my guess) would make me put my money on the Raptor shooting and escaping.

120 mile detectability by KJ2000 + Raptor Supercruise + AMRAAM + Raptor Passive detection = better situational awareness for the Raptor and flaming KJ2000.

This is not to diminish the capability of the Kj2000 platform

This is a shot across Japan’s bow. They are trying to buy the F22.

Australia is also thinking about it.

Sun Tzu's The Art of War says to brag about that which you are weak in, to discourage attack; and to play down your strengths, to encourage enemy complacency.

Ergo, they are sh*tting their pants over the F-22; or they were counting on those 4-recently arrested spies to funnel enough technical details to allow them to develop countermeasures.

We should've nuked Stalin, then China, back in '46.

Cheers!

It is not the truth.

The message is not posted by Chinese official medias but a Hongkong media instead.

In the official report, it just refer the AWAC as “a new vital aircraft” without mentioning any features. I do not know where they found its ability to detect F-22. As a matter of fact, Chinese official medias rarely report any military progress, let alone the detailed functions.

It is not “China boasts its new AWAC” but somebody else.

The U.S. can detect and track the fragments of the China AWAC, as it falls to earth.
