The murder of 16-year-old Canadian teen, Aqsa Parvez, by her Pakistani immigrant father for her refusal to wear a burka or hijab has shocked and saddened the nation. As people from all walks of life are mourning her tragic death, Muslims — particularly their religious leaders — have joined the chorus of denials that "Islam has nothing to with the death of Aqsa."

Hopefully this will make the nation wake up to this death cult but I doubt it.

Why would this shock anyone? It would be truly shocking, on the other hand, if masses of "moderate Muslims" began to protest in the streets against these barbaric practices.

Then why is it only people who follow the tenets of Islam who murder their kin for “honor”?

This is the problem I have with W’s basic plan for Iraq. Even if it succeeds beyond anybody’s wildest dreams, we will have rescued about 20,000,000 devil worshipers from political oppression; a truly happy ending would have to involve rescue from political oppression AND devil worship...
