Fred's most prized possession:
Fred Thompson News ^ | Brad G

I love when Fred makes a mockery out of the media (see here and here). And today the AP asked the candidates their most prized keepsakes:

REPUBLICANS:

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani: "My grandfather's pocket watch."

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee: "Probably my Tobias bass guitar or maybe, I've got a handmade musket rifle that was made by a guy in Eureka Springs, Ark. I've hunted turkey with it. It's really an amazing firearm. Probably one of those two as far as just real heirlooms."

Arizona Sen. John McCain: "I have a baseball signed by Ted Williams, my childhood hero, a Marine pilot as well."

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney: 1962 Rambler American, which his sons bought for him. "The last year that my dad was president of American Motors and made Ramblers was 1962, so it's a connection with my dad and that era."

Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson: "Trophy wife."

No actually his frankness is what will separate him from the pack making the rest of them trying to emulate him. Watch and see. I called this months ago that the other candidates will pretend to be tough to emulate Fred. I guarantee it. The RINO’s will do anything to win, and it’s so obvious.

There were “rifled muskets”, but that’s another different critter. I reckon it really doesn’t matter, but when someone tries to impress me, with knowledge they don’t really have, little warning bells start ringing in my head.
How many times do you think Huck really hunted, LOL?

My wife should have been a trophy, stuffed and mounted over the mantle!

Chrissie Matthews was outraged! His comment was something about Fred thinking his wife was his property. I think I’ve heard Chrissie refer to his wife as his “treasure”. That sounds like his property to me.

Abrupt? Have you been paying attention at all? Those comments will be the inflection point in this nomination. Wake up!

I’m a trophy wife...my husband tells me so! Even after 35 years of marriage, I feel like one. I was a wonderful mother, loving and faithful wife, good cook, great companion. Nothing derogatory about it. Frankly, I think his response was just another way he could shove the MSM’s words in their faces. Like the lazy claim, he knows it’s not true, so he jokes about it.

I think it was a perfect response to throw it back to them. Jeri probably got a real laugh out of it. FRED considers her his partner and soul mate, the mother of his children, the pride of his life, his First Lady. FRED is willing to share his First Lady with America. JERI will be a magnificent First Lady.

Fred is the only candidate that is worth voting for, IMHO, but now it’s getting to the point where it is anybody but Huckabee. Fred needs to start surging soon. There’s not much time left. On the other hand, it appears that it may not be over after Iowa and New Hampshire. It may be an actual race!

Yes, I have been paying attention. And IMO, I thought he was rather abrupt. That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking to it.
