Maybe, to complete the humor, Mr. Paul can claim that Mr. Perry was hired to create the sham group, just to embarrass him. What Mr. Paul needs to acknowledge is that Mr. Perry represents a form of support that Mr. Paul has attracted which is both unflattering and more numerous than is beneficial to him. That component spikes the appearance of his support but the reality of it confirms the fringe element that so many of those supporters come from.
