it is a shame Venezuela does not have a general with the guts that Pinochet in Chile had. If only to hear the howls of protest from the DUmmies as Hugo Loss was dragged away wetting his pants.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened on Monday to close or take over any private school that refuses to submit to the oversight of his socialist government as it develops a new curriculum and textbooks.

"Society cannot allow the private sector to do whatever it wants," said Chavez, speaking on the first day of classes.

As with any Chavez thread on the DUmp, a DUmmie by the screen name of Judi Lynn will be along sooner or later to defend every action of Chavez and to try to convince all that his farts don't stink.

Idiots, one and all.

enezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened on Monday to close or take over any private school that refuses to submit to the oversight of his socialist government as it develops a new curriculum and textbooks.

"Society cannot allow the private sector to do whatever it wants," said Chavez, speaking on the first day of classes.

All schools, public and private, must admit state inspectors and submit to the government's new educational system, or be closed and nationalized, with the state taking responsibility for the education of their children, Chavez said.

Oh yeah, Bush is hitler.

I once threatened to make up a ping list of Freeper Chavez defenders who were wetting their little lace panties while hysterically denouncing those who lead the 2002 coup that pushed him out of power and then cheered when Venezuela was forced by international pressure to take the shoescraping back.

I wish I had done so. I would love to see them eat their words one sour bite at a time.

Well, its about time! Chavez has been to easy on seditionists.

Imagine what this person would be saying if Bush or some republicans tried to have DemocraticUnderground shut down right now for sedition. They've said some pretty iffy things in the past about American troops, the war in Iraq, overthrowing the government here and so on. There is such a huge double standard for the posters there with Hugo Chavez and George Bush.

“Only in my later years did I learn the truth about how the US corporations have tried to enslave the world in a feudal system that is contemptuous of democracy. Chavez and Castro are fighting the bastards. Who else is?”

The Iranians, the Syrians, the North Koreans, and anyone else who would put your worthless carcass against the wall the first day after they take over wherever you are - and won’t you be surprised when that happens?

I was raised to think that it was synonomous with freedom, democracy etc. and that socialism was synonomous with totalitarianism, etc. Only in my later years did I learn the truth about how the US corporations have tried to enslave the world in a feudal system that is contemptuous of democracy.

So much ignorance displayed in two sentences.

This is what the DUmmies would dearly love to have happen in American schools.

Are you implying it hasn't happened already?

THEY have transparent elections. We don't.

We don't have transparent or fair elections, EXCEPT when Barbara Boxer or a Dennis Kucinich gets re-elected, I guess. It's amazing how the system is ALL rigged, and DIEBOLD has the fix in for the Repubbies, yet now the Dhimmicrats control Congress. Go figure.

"They're cheating! They stole the election! It's a coup! This isn't a democr-- What? OUR guy won? The lib? Never mind. The system's fine."

I wonder if any of these blank-brains have ever read or lived what communism does. All they know is some useless theories. Some Cambodians at my church escaped Pol Pot and his horrendous regime; Romanian friends of mine lived under Ceauşescu and escaped by floating down the Danube being shot at by Serbs. Everyone knows what the Nazis, the Soviets, Castro and the Chinese did to their people over the years. Where do they dig up these idiots?

Wow. Just wow.

Only in my later college years did I learn the truth about how the US corporations have tried to enslave the world in a feudal system that is contemptuous of democracy.

There, fixed it.
