The bottom line is this. If Americans want a leader who does not attempt to hide behind the skirt of federalism, does not have to explain why he flipped and flopped like a beached cutthroat trout, and who has always understood that the unalienable right to life comes from our creator and not state politicians or courts, then Duncan Hunter is the only choice...

ping ya, cp!
We are behind a conservative candidate that can win. If Duncan Hunter gets the nomination, he will win big. Bigger than the so called first tier(elitists) candidates. None of which are conservative.
Amen! the site looks really good! Nice work, Calpernia!
Duncan Hunter is a workhorse. Everyone needs to check out that link. Hear that, everyone?:)
So jump on the bandwagon, huh? When you say “can’t win”, I either don’t believe you or don’t care. I am not quite sure which fits the best in this instance.
I don’t think any of the Hunter supporters are going anywhere, but thanks for the invitation. If this was about my vote for prom queen or something, I could go along with your reasoning, perhaps.
But it isn’t, it’s about who is best for our country. This is the sole reason for the primaries and ultimately the general election. So, let’s put our heads together and think about who can win in 2012. We can save a lot of time and money and totally eliminate all the voting nonsense.
You must be looking at the polls? I have heard people don’t even start paying attention to the election till after labor day. I am not sure if it is true or not but the supporters of some candidate or the other (the name escapes me) are convinced this is the case. So, it seems Duncan has as good a shot as anyone. I would say he has one helluva chance if people are thinking and not just pulling levers.
We are war. Who do we want telling the family and friends of those serving we need to continue the fight. Who when we need to call upon them to serve and to fight, to risk their lives another 2, 4, 6 years? Obama, Hitlery, Fred, Rudy, Romney? What about Hunter who has some credibility in the area, who has worked tirelessly to see they have what they need for the fight. Hunter, who served in Vietnam and whose son has served 2 tours in Iraq and is serving another in Afghanistan? Who would you want to hear asking these warriors and their families to lay it on the line one more time?
Then there is the whole illegal immigration and border security issue. Do we trust what someone says they will do or do we look and see what has been done already and who was doing it? Who do you trust on that issue? Is an important issue you want to just take a stab in the dark and exercise some blind faith on this issue?
What about the stupid trade deals we have in which Americans have to compete with their hands tied behind their backs? Please don’t laugh, but this is called “fair trade”. I guess if you aren’t an American, especially an American who just watched his job head overseas, you might think it is fair.
The Chicoms probably are alright with it as well, as they use American dollars to upgrade their military machine. This is related to the immigration problem as well. If the Mexicans had a healthy and robust middle-class do you think they would be coming here illegally? How long do you think our middle-class will stay healthy and robust when 3 million manufacturing jobs are lost overseas in a short period of time? Who is talking about and acting on this issue?
Duncan Hunter, right? So rather than jump on the bandwagon of someone who you think can win; I had much rather vote for the one I think is the best and one which it will actually mean something to conservatives when he does win. I suppose some of us are just tired of supporting the same old same and expecting them to be different, as if by magic, this time :)
Speaking of fence building....did either of you hear a report on Fox about a man who wanted the government to repair the fence on his property and they told him no, that it was his responsibility...so he fixed it...and then they came back at him and said that it was, in fact, not his property and told him to tear it down. He didn’t and has been ordered to jail? I’m trying to find out if this was someone with border property?
Nevermind on the fence...found it...has nothing to do with the border ;)
Why settle for cubic zirconia when you can have a diamond?
That sounds very familiar. But I thought that story was from back when the Minutemen were working on the fence. Unless, maybe it is a separate incident.
SwinneySwitch has a border ping list. He posts all these stories.
Bump!
..the golf cart just hit a pothole...
Most likely, though I never heard of her prior to becoming Fred’s spokesbabe.

How awful! - but govt. never ceases to surprise me.
#205 - Great post!
DUNCAN HUNTER actually had a fence built which stopped drug trafficking and crime in San Diego, and HUNTER authored the bill for a fence from California thru Texas, which was signed into law, and HUNTER got us ABS deployed in Alaska, and HUNTER built up the defense that Bill Clinton tore down, and got equipment and weapons to protect our troops, and our country, when he Chaired the House Armed Services Committee (when the Republicans had the majority), and HUNTER went to Iraq FIVE times, and HUNTER did some tough fighting duty in Nam and won a medal, and HUNTER has a son who did two tours in Iraq, including Fallujah, and is now doing a 3rd tour in Afghanistan, so HUNTER has a lot a stake personally, as well.
Thats just a little bit of what HUNTER has DONE, while the other candidates talk or write articles.
In the scheme of things it seems he’d have to be a successful governor to be viable for the nomination. Sadly congressmen don’t get the attention he needs.
yup, that's just what the democrats think.
