As more and more of his potential supporters learn about Fred Thompson's choice of open borders advocate and pro-Islamist ex-senator and lobbyist Spencer Abraham as his campaign manager, Thompson's luster as th egreat GOP savior has begun to dim precipitously.
Latest to weigh in are Dymphna at Gates of Vienna, Elaine at Aaron's Rod ( who removed all the Blogs For Fred links to her site) and Deb at Right Truth.
And Michelle Malkin also did a short bit with Laura Ingraham on her national show.
As I said in my piece, no one who's serious about winning the War Against Jihad would want a tool like Abraham anywhere near him.Either Thompson was ignorant about Abraham's background, which means he lacks the judgment to be president, or he knew about it and appointed Abraham anyway...which means that no one who's serious about fighting this war or controlling the borders should remotely consider supporting him.
I think we're done with stealth candidates who talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

Must take issue with you...Sonny Bono was a beloved hardcore conservative who also was a movie star.
“He was hired to help run a campaign not to influence Fred on policy. Until Fred nominates him for Secretary of State or National Security Advisor you have nothing to complain about.”
I doubt Duncan Hunter would have hired him as an errand boy.
I doubt Hunter could afford him. In fundraising and campaign operations, he is quite skilled.
That's not an argument. It's like trying to prove a negative. The real question is: "Does his hiring make it impossible for you to vote for Fred should he win the nomination"? Yes/No.
If 'YES' at this early in the season, then you could well find yourself without a candidate to back after the primaries. Are you ready to commit to that possibility at this time?
If 'NO', they why even bring it up, outside of intentionally trying to irritate Fred supporters?
Your answer please....
“claims all this is just silly talk”
I call BS. What do you expect them to say? “sure that’s what we have in mind for humanity” Everyone associated with CFR will deny involvement.
Have you read the history of the group and their membership. It reads like a *who’s who* of Elitist who not only could dominate the world but, who have done so.
Please link me to that post claims all this is just silly talk.
“In fundraising and campaign operations, he is quite skilled.”
Clearly doesn’t outweigh the baggage, otherwise, ya’ll wouldn’t be having to waste so much time on defense.
I think you made my point. As far as FT is concerned, I don’t see the similarity........yet.
Against falsehoods, lies and smears?
I guess Fred is the new “bad” flavor of the month. The Republican Party sure isn’t serious about the border, I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised that Fred hired someone like this. Birds of a feather and all it seems.
My pleasure. MeanWestTexan has acknowledged to me being a former member of CFR, as well as elsewhere in an earlier thread. That earlier thread is also linked in the below link. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1873805/posts?page=111#111.
Oh, and don't come back to me on this. You call it BS, then tell MeanWestTexan that to their face.
>CFR doesn’t care who/which party is elected.<
>>We can not be blind to what we are seeing.<
But they would rather have a manipulable candidate elected. And you are painfully correct. We cannot be blind to what we are seeing.
Who's wasting who's time?
Instead of promoting your pork-barrel Congresscritter for President, you have to tear down someone who clearly was drafted by the grassroots.
Not only are you wasting YOUR time trashing Fred with innuendo and wild-eyed conspiracy crap, but you're turning off a lot of folks against Hunter too, who many would like to see as Fred's VP choice.
“Against falsehoods, lies and smears?”
Welcome to politics my FRiend.
So, I can take that as a 'YES' to the question I posed, that you have yet to answer? In other words, FT being a 'manipulable candidate' in your eyes, there's no way, given that attitude, you could support him should he get the nomination.
Not sure how tearing down one candidate to promote your own is that convincing a strategy. I am unimpressed by any of them and if anything this makes me not want to vote for Hunter.
Try supporting your own candidate and tell me why I should vote for him.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Do a keyword search “duncan Hunter” and you will see scores of articles on him, posted by me and others.

Wrong again, as usual. From The Politico’s orginal story on this, 7/24/07: “The day-to-day campaign will now be run by Randy Enwright, a Florida consultant who was the political director. And former Sen. Spencer Abraham (R-Mich.) will be the chairman, acting as the campaigns ambassador to official Washington.”
Must really be sad to be you...
“The campaigns ambassador to official Washington” means that Spence doesn’t set policy, doesn’t advise on policy and doesn’t actually “run” anything in the campaign. He lines up support and donations from Beltway office holders.
But you already knew that. You just wanted to kick Fred around some more because he’s struck a responsive chord with a large percentage of GOP primary voters and Duncan Hunter (Mr. One Percent) has not.
She must want a personal warning like pissant got.
