For immediate release:
(Iowa)...........It was California Congressman Duncan Hunter who scored the highest grade from a unique Iowa political panel. WHO-TV.com asked six undecided voters all from different cities in the state to "grade" the presidential candidates. The registered voters, two Democrats, two Republicans, and two Independents, were given the answer of one question asked to eleven Presidential candidates. WHO-TV said they were giving the panel the "power of the pen" by letting them grade the respondents. In all, eleven Presidential candidates sent their response to the television station.
The candidates were asked one question, the question that the TV station said was on the minds of many Americans: "What do you think will happen when U.S. troops are withdrawn from Iraq, and what is your strategy to deal with what happens afterward?"
The six-person panel reviewed the answers then graded each candidate's response.
Hunter's scored high with a grade of 2.66 out of a possible 3.0. Hunter's response was deemed to be the most favorable of the 11 by the panel.
In his response Hunter noted that in Iraq, America is adhering to a process that our nation has followed for the last 60 years to promote democracy and spread freedom throughout the world. The first step, according to Hunter, is that we stand up a free government; then we stand up a military force capable of protecting that government; and lastly, we leave.
Hunter continued that the U.S. forces are currently in the second phase of this three-step process. This phase requir e s that Iraq's military acquire the operational experience it needs to mature into a force capable of defending the interests of the Iraqi government and its people. Not only is this phase critical to the continued development of the Iraqi military, but it will also determine when U.S. combat forces can begin rotating out from the battlefield and be replaced by Iraqi forces.
Hunter added, as U.S. forces move from the battlefield, it will then be the responsibility of Iraqi military forces to protect Iraq's freely elected government and its people. The Iraqi military is quickly and steadily maturing, and the security responsibility will soon be entirely theirs.
With the training and guidance they continue receiving from U.S. forces, the Iraqi military will be capable and have the confidence to confront existing secular militias, foreign fighters, and terrorists.
Hunter concluded, whether or not Iraq's government holds together will be determined by the success of the Iraqi military. Their continued progress indicates it will succeed and Iraq, with its freely elected government, will exist as a friend of the U.S. and not a state sponsor of terrorism for the coming decades.
Democratic contender Joe Biden, and Republican Sam Brownback both scored 2.5, Republican John McCain received a grade of 2.33, and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton was given a 2.16. For complete results visit www.whotv.com.

When most people KNOW Duncan Hunter, they will support him.
When this little contest at WHO translates into better than 2% poll numbers for Congressman Hunter, ping me, okay?
Do you care what poll the stats are from?
So, IOW, you want your own sources. Then you answer is, yes, you care what the source is.
ciao
They’re not.
I spent several hours arguing with some Hunter supporters on another thread about whether he was polling <1% or 3%. As if there is a difference. Still, I was called a liar and a shill for the Establishment.
Don't you dare imply me.
Didn’t you and I attend the same CFR roundtable? After that, I headed over to my abortion clinic, performed 2 or 3 procedures, stopped by Skull & Bones for a quick orgy, went to a LaRaza cocktail party, and then over to Michael Vick’s pad for a dogfight.

I graduated from Ballard HS in Huxley, so I might call Carol and se what that was all about.
You were called a:
“Liar, liar, pants on fire”
when you said <1%, but could any provide ANY POLL to show that it was LESS THAN 1%, because no poll exists.
No one called you a liar for polls that said Hunter was 1% - 3%, only when you said LESS THAN 1%, and could not provide a poll to back it up, and you are STILL exaggerating, because you are afraid that a real CONSERVATIVE will get the nomination, and Hunter will.
Clinton was 2% in the polls in OCTOBER of ‘91, and this is only the end of JULY.
So don’t you think if an unpatriotic person like Clinton can win, that a Patriot and competent candidate, like Hunter, has an even better chance?
Yeah, what a sham poll.
A mere six people?
This is known as the “small numbers fallacy.”
And the two parties are not even gender balanced.
