I was under 5 when this show was on. I still remember it. When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be Johnny.

Some fondnesses of youth are best set aside once maturity arrives...

On the other hand, things could be worse; say, "Jake & the Fatman".

I'm not a firefighter, nor have I played one on TV. However, I've done some training with the firefighters just for fun (my wife will tell you I still act like a 5-year-old).

Dragnet

Actually, Emergency! was a spinoff from Adam 12, with all three shows created by Jack Webb. Deeper trivia: Julie London (Nurse Dixie McCall) was the ex-wife of Jack Webb. She was the current wife of Bobby Troup (Dr. Joe Early).

Whenever I think of this show I just hear that 3-tone siren sound.

Haha! This makes my day.
As you can tell, I was a 70's TV baby.

I thought it was so cool when that sound would go off and the doors to the station would roll up!
