I suspect Anna Nicole's relatives were only trying to cozy up to her for her money.

I am reminded of the scene in "Milliion Dollar Baby" where Hilary Swank's deadbeat relatives come visit her in the nursing home and try to persuade her to sign over her money and property. I cheered when she threw them out.

I wish all this air time on ANS would stop. I feel bad she died but she was a train wreck waiting to happen. I don't think she was too close with her mother, I vaguely remember hearing a relative basically raised her but I tend not to pay attention to the gossip about ANS. I do know the mother was on Nancy Grace saying she was worried about Howard K Stern. I would think the mother should just shut up and get her granddaughter. The less she says about her daughter the better. Prayers that this innocent child gets a decent loving home with normal people.

Perhaps her self induced drug addiction was a feeble attempt to escape herself. She certainly was a haughty one. That much anyone could see.

If her mother stated Anna was selfish and cold ... I have no reason to doubt it. There comes a time when the child should help if the parent is in need. A child should WANT to do this. It sounds like they survived without her money.

It's a pity or maybe poet justice that she ran around with cold hearted and selfish people who ENABLED her demise for $$$$.

I was wondering about that too ... maybe this Stern chacter won't allow her near this baby. He's really a pimp but he does have a law degree ... and may know enough to keep others away.

I just think the baby should go to other people then the ones she has in her life...ANS's mother doesn't sound all that wonderful. Who knows....I just pray the baby gets the love she deserves and is raised normally. Howard K Stern isn't the kind of person who I would trust. ~~P~~

I don't know who should get the baby, but I'm not sure it should be the Grandmother. After all... she didn't do such a great job of raising her daughter.

Here's a question, say the Granddaughter was NOT going to get any money from the inheritance, would the Grandmother still want to raise her? Or, is it all about the money?

I really don't know the answer to that. I think with all of them the money is a reason. I don't think ANS family is normal.....None of the people around this poor child fit my idea of normal and its a shame. Remember its going to be a long time before any money is going to be gotten from her husband's estate..if any is won at all. I would hope the grandmother is able to get the child back to the states and a court decides where the baby's best interests are and who is able to raise her normally. This is a really sad story and I just pray the baby is safe. Seems strange everyone around Howard K Stern are on methadone & die to me....
