I have noticed a growing pattern among the leftists in the past few years. They fabricate stories to help their dopey cause. We have seen this happening over and over and over again. We saw it when some professor in California staged a hate crime on herself by spray painting her own car with grafitti. We saw it with Jesse MacBeth who claimed to be a vet who saw war crimes committed in Iraq until he was exposed as a fraud. And of course there is that Duke "rape" case in which the DNA results exonerating the accused lacrosse players was suppressed by corrupt D.A., Mike Nifong. This pattern is happening with increasing frequency lately. The latest such leftwing lie involves the vet wife of another vet who whose funeral was supposedly delayed by an EVIL Republican coroner. Guess what? This story is also a FRAUD. The fraud perpetrated by DUmmie Monkeyman aka Dale Peters is a bit elaborate so I encourange all to investigate this beyond what will be laid out in this special DUFU leftwing fraud edition. I came onto KOS to check it out. I, and VMFP, have experience with Dale, and unfortunately it is not usually good. Here are the facts from my personal experience:

1. VMFP originated from a group of Vets for Kerry veterans who wished to stay organized after the 2004 campaign. We met in first Milwaukee in Feb of 2005. (Tom Brophy (IL), Randy Barnes (MO), etc) This group had a working name of Veterans for Progress, but upon the decision to have military family members as a part of the organization, was named and grew as Veterans & Military Families for Progress (I emailed Wade our Certificate of Good Standing from DC)

2. Dale registered on our web site and posted frequently. He also, on two occasions (once for John Edwards during the 2004 campaign and once for Paul Hackett during the Ohio special election) promised VMFP that he would "show up at a campaign event with a bus load of veterans", upon which we relied and acted upon. On both occasions these buses never arrived and deemed as never existing in the first place. After a particularly vicious flame war through emails and on our website (www.vmfp.org ), Dale said he wanted to quit VMFP, and our leadership happily and quickly honored his resignation. I then removed most of his posts from the discussion board on our website vmfp.org (his name was monkeyman).

3. Occasionally we get emails from other veteran groups and military units informing us that Dale Peters is an imposter and claims to be in various military units.

Essentially, an alias at Daily Kos, dale peters, became entwined with a newer alias, Janet G, as Dale's wife. Their stories, revolving around themes of Military Veteran support and related political issues, became part of a larger mythos concerning her heroic past and eventual, sorrowful death in Dale's arms.

Current research indicates that Dale actually lives with his mother and has never been married. Yet, it gets even worse.

Following from a supposed online death march with political intrigue at DKos, and the interesting followup revelations, this diary goes even further into the muck, seeking to offer information for the community. I will admit my bias showing throughout the diary's presentation of said research, though my opinions are still open to more revelations from trustworthy sources.

Dale Peters has a growing trail of Google links which seemingly connect his style of earnest pleas for Veteran's support efforts with outright lies about his life in various, online communities. I assert that he has decieved US Military Veterans, political campaigns, social assistance organizations and now, Daily Kos. Notably, DKos is but the latest in his string of hits, but let's take a look at what led him to our blue waters.

As noted in diary links above, we had a series of local diaries by his supposed wife, "Janet G", which soon ended in her dramatic passing and Dale's subsequent, emotional expressions of gratitude for incoming sympathy by this community.

This online event led to mild questions and even outright accusations about Dale and/or Janet not being genuine or upfront - in one recent case (see second link, above), the questioner was troll-rated numerous times. Sure, his attitude seemed inappropriate at times for the tone of diary provided, but he also had some keen points to offer. The questioner was also, due to entirely unrelated circumstances, going through a personal emotional event . . . and this got me thinking.
I did some basic research and found a disturbing link, but decided to take the matter offline for discussion with the beaten-down questioner, QuickSilver - his opinion seemed most worthy to consider on next actions in this context. After some discussion with he and Shockwave, I did further research, noted the second diary's outing of the same link about Dale Peters and his lying past online, then we agreed that I'd publish what is currently known. That's this diary.
I should make clear: I now believe that, aside from issues of tone he displayed at the time, QuickSilver was entirely correct in his suspicions. He had excellent sense with regards to sincerity of Dale and the entire situation.

Dale Peters has been an emotional supporter of Veteran's rights online for at least a year and a half.
Dale Peters may have worked as a volunteer for John Laesch, as noted by llbear.
Mike and Janet may have been impersonated by Dale Peters online. Mike does not seem to exist. Janet may exist, may be deceased - more info needed. I feel she is mostly fictional, possibly based on a real person.
Dale Peters has fooled, and been caught by, a number of online Veterans/Military folks at similar-themed blogs for claiming both a military record and family he does not appear to have.
Dale Peters reportedly made untoward advances to at one least female member at such site(s), despite his "soul-bond" to Janet.
Dale Peters has been posting at DKos in the past year under "dale peters" and "Janet G", also clearly noting his "monkeyman" alias from elsewhere on the Internet, and recently we saw Janet G's alias being used for posts by (claimed) both Mike and Dale, but using the same voice.
I have not yet seen a voice for Janet which is markedly unique from Dale's or Mike's.

I'm also from the usmilnet site. Coalition Angel has done some legwork and between her and some of the sites, here's what we have ascertained. That there IS really a "Dale Peters". He's person from Illinois. We HAVE ascertained that somebody named Janet Peters-Gluseck(?) recently died and will be buried tomorrow. The obit says it's his wife, but it could possibly be his mother,or even his daughter, depending on what we are led to believe and where he and his "daughter" have posted. What we haven't discovered is the fact that the person "posting" as "Dale Peters is ACTUALLY the Dale Peters from Illinois. What I can see is that there are many discrepancies between whomever is posting on the net in the name of "Dale Peters" and the REAL Dale Peters. I have noticed that Dale's bio is gone from the veterans for truth site, along with any pictures, etc. So..... one can only assume that we have some internet troll that has stolen someone's internet identity and is running around posing as the REAL Dale Peters. What a pathetic life that person must lead. There is also some contention from another site that Bobby Hanafin might be the same person as Dale Peters, at least on some sites, at least the person posing as "Dale Peters".
It's truly sad that this person appears to be using a good man's name & history to create distress and confusion around the internet and among MANY different sites. We DO know that this has affected DailyKos, The Conservative Underground, Military.com, USMILNET.com, and a couple of others. I DO find it rather odd that someone bereaving a family member's death would have the time and interest to be flooding numerous sites with his problems. Were one of my family members to pass, the internet would be the least of my worries or interests.

If I may ask, where are you from in Germany? As I mentioned in an earlier post, my ancestors came from the Hanover area (father's side) and Hinter-Pommern (mother's side) back in the 1850's. I spent 1 1/2 years in Erlangen during my tour of duty. It's a beautiful country with very gracious people.

I don't think Sfexpat lacks discernment about people. She is very aware of Monkeyman's setting fire to the internet right now and she wanted him off DU --- "I am in the middle of something else." She patted him on the head and shooed him off DU for "five months" claiming she had left DU to recoup, but of course she is never off DU in one forum or another, particularly the Mental Health Group.
I think she's planning another fundraiser for "mental health issues", families, etc. She has been trying to cultivate a following at the mhg even while she was involved in the Andy Scam.
She's using the Bush hatred and trying to recreate the hysteria about a heartless "repuke" run "Amurika" where poor Andy would die because he was poor. Everything they said about Andy's situation was a cruel lie to frighten an already susceptible group, many of whom rely on government support for their healthcare among other things.
In addition to the several thousand dollars a month Andy got through donations from Dec 2004, plus payments from voter groups like CaseOhio, and KevinZeese's group, and others, Andy was fully enrolled in Medicaid and welfare programs which paid for all of his medical and living expenses, including retroactive for three months which covered his nearly 15,000 in bills for tests and treatment at Swedish Medical in Seattle.
The Big Lie was that Andy would die like a dog in the gutter because of our rotten system. The new Big Lie for sfexpat is that the people on the mental health thread and their families are again at the mercy of Bush who "gutted the social services programs" and the "Republicans indifference to their suffering." None of this is true but it is useful for sfexpat's purposes of creating another frenzy of fear and hatred, which can only be ameliorated by her "services" to "our community, our families."
She already has goobers jumping on that thread and praising her for her "noble" concern for others in the midst of her own problems.
This latest thread about Doug dumping her is posted on General Discussion. How long did it take for the Andy fundraiser to jump to the relative respectability of GD?
The same conditions prevail at DU. Skinner aka David Allen has stated that he will not be available for DU. (He has a new baby, a son...beautiful baby.)
I don't see the old stalwarts coming out for her but that does not mean she is not cultivating a few new ones through PMs, in addition to her own sockpuppets beating the drum.
There are a few elements that were not present in the Andy Scam. One is that there is a divorce action pending. Sfexpat's disclosing of confidential information about Doug and their life together might be seen as jeopardizing Doug's interests in the adjudication of the divorce, and if so, would certainly be a consideration in a judge's decision to issue a temporary restraining order subject to investigation to determine if an injunction is called for.
A preventive injunction might be issued against Skinner and Du as facilitators of sfexpat's violation of Doug's privacy rights, as there seems not to be another adequate remedy for this. Injunctions are not used if there is a possibility of
financial damages, however if malicious intent can be proven after the injunction punitive damages might be assessed if it can be shown that the pursuit of a man's reputation across the internet could have been determined by "reasonable men" who, nevertheless, continued to provide a venue for the pursuer.
Sfexpat has hinted that she is in touch with Doug's doctor, which, considering the situation, might be construed as collusin, something I doubt that Doug's doctor would be willing even to appear to be involved in, however convincing Sfexpat's analysis of Doug's frail psychological condition might be to the DUers in DU's Mental Health Group.
Beth implied that the friend with whom Doug stayed after he left is suffering from some psychological problems, Obsessive-compulsive disorder I think she claimed. Beth uses psychological diagnoses to undermine those who disagree with her or do not fall in line with her plans.
Doug, in her view, is not acting as an autonomous individual and making decisions based on his own best interests as he sees them. She portrays him as incapable of acting without her controlling all aspects of his life. She seems to deliberately sow self-doubt and fear while declaring her love for him. This is pretty frightening.
Just today on a thread in the Mental Health Group she wrote about her son, in the past, going into the hospital to test for depression where it was learned he was taking cocaine. She says she did not know this and then refers to him at that time as a "sixteen year old addict." Good grief. Not sure this is the son with whom she is traveling to DC along with her mother, in order to "moon *".
I'm mystified that anyone would attribute innocence and guilessness to this person, qualities that she may have possessed at five, but not by the time her sixth birthday rolled around. Or were you all being sardonic?

Vets with PTSD, when it is not treated, tend to get worse as the years roll on. Dale has problems. We recognize that and make allowances for the predictable end results.
The ass clowns trashing him, me, and all the other veterans advocates, spend a great deal of time here working on Veterans issues.
We worry about preventing the next suicide. They worry about amassing "power". I'm personally bored by it - but then I dealt with the crap back when AIDS became all the rage.

On me, though not sure the sites and comments are still up, I do alot of Attacking on those that say they Support Veterans, and even are members of the club, i.e. John Kerry's buds, and they've gone after many others over the years! You followed the Fray of the few who wanted to Discredit Dale, and wether he is a Vet or Not you Shouldn't Have, Period!!
You want to find out about Someone who says their a Vet, It's Simple, visit the DoD site, there you will find All One Needs to get information on Veterans, if Family member you can get All you need, if not you get Just Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Already propably know what Vets get from the 'sheople' on other boards if said Vets don't agree with them or the policies. I used to have fun with them, but for the last 4yrs. it's been back to the old times, Not Fun as others Die!!!!
But the Verbal Spitting isn't confined to just any one group of people, it cover the Whole Society and even includes the handfull of brothers that join them!

mmmmmmmmmmmh.....that is truly weird.They all have the same style. Why are they using Capitals? I know I use Capitals because I am used to it due German Language. But english languages is without Captials as long as you don't use Names.. isn't it?

I said this nearly two years ago, but perhaps not clearly enough; at least not clearly enough for the semicententarian DUmmie from San Francisco to "get."
The semicentenarian DUmmie from San Francisco ostensibly has a college degree in English literature, or Shakepearean literature, or something like that. There is no reason to doubt that, as she sometimes betrays a good knowledge of Elizabethan poets (although she recently posted a quote allegedly by a now-long-forgotten internet nonentity, when the quote was actually from a rock band).
Because of her academic background, the semicentenarian DUmmie from San Francisco is of course aware of what were called "medieval morality plays," which were a popular attraction (along with things such as Punch-and-Judy puppet shows, and dancing bears) among the villages and rustics of the Middle Ages.
The common theme of medieval morality plays--all of them, no matter the story-line--was that we all are inevitably tripped up by our own machinations and arrogance. The Devil does not trip us up, God does not trip us up, the law does not trip us up.
Why should they waste the time, when we ourselves trip our own selves up, through our machinations and arrogance?
Somewhere near the beginning of the scam that rocked the internet, I commented that watching the semicentenarian DUmmie from San Francisco, "sfexpat2000," was like watching one of those medieval morality plays.
And that it would have its usual ending, its usual moral.
