My son enlisted (delayed entry) in the U.S. Army yesterday! He will be follow in the old man's footsteps and, God willing, become a member of the 82ND AIRBORNE!

Yes, I got some pictures of the wee one, but was so hip deep in helping my Mom move here that I never sent an acknowledgement to the proud parents.

The best technical schools around and the experience is priceless.
In the Navy, at 23, I managed a shop of 12 men and was responsible for multimillion dollar electronics equipment.
20 Years later, I use the what I learned in the Navy every day.

You do know I was only joking around? I suggested to my kid to consider the Navy or Cooast Guard. He's a darn good scuba diver and swimmer
I use some of what I learned way back in the Army these days too...except for the shooting down Russian military aircraft training part

I knew you were joking. My Dad and two of my uncles were Marines. They kidded me about the Navy, but secretly they all said, "talk to the Navy".
