Dear Rush:
Pardon my French, but youre full of s***! As I listened to your show last week, you chose to criticize and attack conservative Americans like myself who feel the Republican Party does not deserve to win in November. Rush, since when did you become such a shill for the GOP? Choosing the party over the base is a very disappointing move to this long time listener. Im very disappointed in you, Rush Limbaugh, youve lost touch with the reality that is life for the common man in America. I heartily recommend you take pause and reconsider your programming strategy. Do you really want to attack those of us on the front lines versus liberalism? Rush, you yourself have become one of the elite of our society. Perhaps I need to give you some perspective, so you can better understand our anger, or at least mine.
Since I'm not a "conservative" by any agreed upon standard, and since I'm not running, you won't be voting for me anytime soon.
I would guess from his bio page that he is a Libertarian. I would classify the libertarians as generally conservative, but on some issues they are quite liberal. For example, the party position on the War on Terror could have been written by John Murtha or Cindy Sheehan.
Because it is.
Make your principled stand in the primary.
We certainly disagree. I don't vote for liberals and I don't vote for evil.
If you vote for evil, you will get it. The country gets what it deserves.
One more point, I'm not a Republican. They don't own my vote and I owe them nothing. I ask nothing of government except to defend my rights.
My rights are not broker-able and my vote belongs to me. If any candidate wants my support, they have to earn it.
I vote for Republicans quite often, and I almost never vote for Democrats. But no one can take my vote for granted and it's NEVER MY fault if they can't make their case to enough people to get them elected.
WTF now?
Well good luck EVER finding a candidate that's going to vote for every principle you believe in.
Guess you stay home a lot on election days.
And you know this how? You don't know a single one of my positions on a single issue.
Yup. In his mother's basement with his video games, I'm sure.
BTW...boy, aren't you mature?
The Democrats are completely unserious about the War on Terror.
Anyone who votes for Democrats is voting for a party that is completely unserious.
Anyone who stays home rather than voting against a party that is completely unserious enables that party.
Anyone who enables or supports a party that is completely unserious is not worth taking seriously.
I plan to vote November 7 for a party that is not perfect, but at least has a record about being serious about the War.
No need for good luck since that's not my quest. But feel free to continue to make things up and debate yourself.
Guess you stay home a lot on election days.
Actually, I always vote.
So you're one of the 17 votes that the LP or CP gets, right?
Congratulations! That is good news indeed. So, who do you vote for when it seems there is no candidate that is satisfactory? I'm not sure what I made up in my last post nor do I wish to debate myself. I'm just trying to understand what your position is. No need to get nasty.
You see, it's like I said, define conservative and I'll tell you if I am one. And then we can debate what a conservative is. And on and on.
I do know what a liberal believes, and I NEVER vote for them, EVER. No matter if they are Dems or Repubs or Greens or Socialists or Libertarians, or Martians.
For Republicans it's all about power, getting it and keeping it. It's all about electing "R"s. Not me thanks, no liberals for me, ever.
Wrong, but keep making things up, it seems to be fun for you.
But let me ask you a question about those parties now that YOU have brought them up,,do you think voting for people who don't seem to have a chance to be elected is foolish and people may as well stay home?
Exactly! The main issues in this election are terrorism and immigration. Democrats are in favor of fighting neither.
Where the Libertarian, Green, Socialist (non-Dems), Conservative, Constitution parties stand on those issues is quite irrelevant, as they don't have a chance to win.
A conservative can be of several different varieties, all united by the following:
-belief in limited government
-belief in the Constitution and those rights outlined in it
-defense of our nation
Unlike many Republicans on this thread, I wasn't nasty in the least.
So, who do you vote for when it seems there is no candidate that is satisfactory?
I don't vote in that contest. Or I write in someone I want to vote for. Usually I can find someone acceptable. There is usually a candidate who is not a liberal or a criminal. Those are the things that disqualify a candidate for me, I never vote for those people.
